I just rec'd an email for $13/day car rentals for Orlando. The only thing is it only gives the option of drop off at two locations, not at WDW like I had planned.
Has anyone ever used Priceline for a car rental? Can I make pickup/drop off changes after I've bid on it?
With this special advertised price, is there any other charges that they will try to add on that's not included in the ad price?

The taxes and fees are not included in that $13/day and those can almost double a rental rate at locations. No changes can be made either---think you can only get at MCO and return at MCO...not one of the offsite locations. It is like Priceline for hotels and airlines....you get what you pay for and there are no changes/refunds/cancellations/etc. You don't know the company till then end. That $13 is probably on the smallest car. I tried Priceline for a rental car in PHX for spring break. I'd input low rates and none of my bids were accepted...I'd bid low and the taxes and fees would bring rate up to what my quote was using codes and coupons found online. IMHO I'd try messing with codes/coupons.

If you had a 10 day trip and thought it would be $130 flat rate for rental car...that is not the case it would be more...probably much more and that is IF priceline accepts that $13 and would be on small car.

Good luck....

Thanks for replying! I was afraid of that... :(
I have seen some other deals that aren't much more, so I'll go directly with the car rental company.
We're not going until March, so I have lots of time!

I've used priceline a few times. Twice to MCO and twice to Fort Lauderdale FL. You can only pick up and drop off at mco for Disney. I just used priceline yesterday for a 7 day rental to Fort Lauderdale for the end of August. Even using all the coupons and codes I could find, the cheapest I was coming up with was $250 for a full size car. I started bidding on priceline for a full size car at $8. I ended up getting it for $12 for a total of $160. So for me, priceline works!

You can pick up at one location and drop off at another with Priceline, but both locations needs to be airports. You start your search through the regular Priceline search and then click on the "Name your own price" link off the results page. Be aware that I believe that you may be charged drop off fees.
