They want $59.99 on Amazon!!

My friends and I used to go to the tapings in high school (we knew Chase!)....I loved the Party!! Remember when they had an underage club?

How fun. I worked on a few seasons of MMC and with some other Mouseketeers on projects more recently. Those guys were all great.

Saw DeeDee last year in Cali. She played Jasmine in the Aladdin show at DCA. :goodvibes She looks EXACTLY the same as she did in her "Party" days.

HAHAHA! My friend back in college introduced me to "The Party". I used to give him so much trash for it too. Didn't think anyone even knew who they were. Thanks for bringing up some fun memories.

I thought you were talking about the old Peter Seller's movie. I guess that shows how old I am. :teeth:

As an avid Mickey Mouse Club watcher as a child of the 80s/90s, I remember the party and (embarrasingly) had one of their "tapes."

I wish they'd bring the MMC back. I'd probably watch it today even though I'd be much too old to be doing so.

I do, I do, I do!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh!!! I LOOOOOOVED them!! I saw them at Six Flags when I was in 6th grade! I had a huge crush on Chase :)

I did love The Party, and MMC. I saw The Party in concert twice. My dad took me and none of my friends would come because they thought they were corny. It makes me realize how much my dad would do to make me happy!

I still have some their tapes and cd's. I should pull them out and listen to them.

Sure do--quite well--I toured with them twice in 1990. We did a spring tour playing at malls and amusement parks--I remember shows at Carrowinds, Six Flags, and a really fun show at the Hard Rock in Dallas. :thumbsup2

Then I was back out with them on the Taylor Dayne tour--I think around November. I'd have to look back to be sure. Great kids, Chase was a sweetie, and DeeDee was so talented--it was obvious she was the one who would succeed in the industry even back then. Did you know she starred in Miss Saigon on Broadway a few years back?

I have a signed 8x10 of them someplace, I wonder what that would go for on E-Bay??? :sunny:

Birdie num-nums. :lmao: :lmao:

Man I had the biggest crush on Chase! Remember those bolo ties?! heh heh

Like many of you guys, I would love to watch those old MMC shows again. I sure wish they'd come out on dvd. That and You Can't Do That On Television. (I had a crush on Alastair). Another one of my all time favorites!

I loved the MMC even in high school. I have the Party tapes somewhere and my grandma has lots of the MMC on VHS that she taped! :)

I thought you were talking about Party of Five. I used to love that show! Never heard of The Party though.

After they left MMC and became The Party, I always thought Tiffany came across as a snot. What we she like in real life?

Not a snot, but a bit "high maintenance," if that makes sense. It was kind of funny, each of the kids had a parent out on the road with him. Five kids, 15 support people--and they think rap bands and the "posse's" are bad. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I could see where the kids often got their personalities from. Chase's dad was very laid back and friendly. DeeDee's dad was retired Navy, and very protective of her--and he tried to keep her life as normal as he could. There was no all night hanging out at the hotels, no all day shopping sprees. She spent a lot of her free time studying, was definitely the smartest and best student of them all. I remember she really missed her little sister who she just adored.

Tiffany's mom was very nice, as were Damon's and Al's moms, but they weren't as strict with the kids as I would have been--but then again it was their kids, so not my business.

On the second tour, Chase was out without a parent, Brent, the groups stylist became his legal guardian. Chase was by far the most mature of the kids. Al and Damon were just this side of being out of control. I'm not going to say more about that to protect the not so innocent, but I defnintely got earfuls from the girls who confided in me like I was a big sister... Damon looked like his mom, but his personality was SO his dad.

I was on the "girls" bus, but if it was a short drive they'd be swapped out all over the place. On overnight drives all the girls--DeeDee, Tiff, their moms and Al's mom, myself, and the tutors were on one bus, and the three boys, Brent, the tour manager, and any other guys including DeeDee's dad were on the other bus. Our driver was female, the boys had a male driver. It was very "Disney" in that respect.

There were three "production" people, two bus drivers (two production guys also doubled as equipment truck drivers), a stylist, merchandise manager (me!), five parents, and two tutors. It was a traveling circus. (And I want to think we had a choreographer with us on and off as well.)

Tiffany and her mom LOVED to shop. I recall Damon's mom, Ginger I think it was, and Al's mom who I think was named Ethel but I could be wrong (I'm going back 16 years here...), joining them regularly. The tour manager made them ship boxes of purchased clothing home more than once, because there just wasn't enough room in the bus bays for it all. :rotfl2:

I've got some candid photo's someplace, if I can find them I'll scan them and post them in a bit.

That is so awesome Anne!!!

I am another one who love LOVED the MMC and The Party. I recently found one of their tapes we had stored somewhere and my sister and I were dying, we had it in her car listening to it.. lol.

I have a bunch of autographed pics of the members of MMC, if you wrote them a fan letter, they'd send you back a personalized autographed photo of them. I have Tiffany, Lindsay, Josh, Damon & Jennifer that I know for sure but I'm pretty sure I have more then that.

I remember seeing Jennifer for the first time in the Tarzan show, I knew that it was her before they even said her name... I saw her 2 more times on different trips in the show before Tarzan closed. Wonder what she's doing now?

Hey Duck, I have another question for you. Keep in mind I was only 12-13 years old at the time, so what did I know? :) I always got a vibe about Dee Dee and Chase, like their was something going on between those two. I remember on a quick interview she and Tiffany denied there was no dating in the group. Any comments?

With what I saw, if there was "dating" going on between any of them, I wouldn't be looking at those two as a couple.

I remember The Party, I used to watch them on the Mickey Mouse Club, and I bought the CD's when the came out. I wish the Disney channel would play the Mickey Mouse club or release it on DVD.

This thread is sooooo weird -- I was googling them all on Friday night! I remember VHS-taping the MMC eps that The Party would air their lastest videos. DeeDee was sooo gorgeous. I couldn't even drive yet -- and none of my friends liked them. They were all into New Kids on the Block, so I'd trade photos from my Tiger Beat and Teen Beat of the NKOB boys for pictures of The Party and Corey Haim... wow... I'm embarassed to admit that now.

I think I still have a couple of the original CDs (I know I have "Free") downstairs in the basement. I outta eBay those suckers!!
