My mom used to get a new one each year from HR at work, and it was valid for discounted admission at DL and WDW. The ticket books purchased and later the admission tickets were always marked with "Magic Kingdom Club" on them.

I understand the club ended in 2001, but I can't find any images of cards later than 1980 although I did find an image of a WDW MKC passport from 1989.

I remember when MKC members could purchase all day park "passports", while everybody else had to use ride tickets. I also subscribed to MKC's "Disney News"for magazine for about 10 years. I may still have some copies.

I was a member. My card was white with a red and back standing Mickey on it. It had yellow mouse ears in the background.

And then there was the Gold card.

The MKC eventually evolved into the Disney credit card.

If I remember correctly in later yrars it became the "Disney Club." A paid membership. I know I had it the last year and saved on our APs for WDW.

I remember my mom used to get one of these cards every year from her work every year before my family would go to Disneyland when I was a kid. It was one of those things that lay around the house that every time you see it you think, "I want to go to Disneyland".

Odd enough, when I was little, I thought Disney World was just Disneyland, but called Disney World in Florida. I didn't know till much later that the Disneyland version in Florida was called the Magic Kingdom.:earboy2:

I used to keep the club guides just so I could see the ticket and vacation prices inch up every year. Might still have some stashed in my garage.

My work HR department used to give them out. I miss those.

I can get discounted admission tickets through my work still though.:)

My Mom also worked in HR back in the 80s and I remember her bringing me home things, pamphlets, folders etc. I would play travel agent. LOL
