ok making my way through the dining plan sticky, i realized hmmm, if you need to pay rack rates to get it chances are disney promos aren't going to be lowered room rates so i'm wondering if anyone remembers what promos came out between the one for upgrade to park hopper thats out now and the last one i can recall before that, free dining ( think that ended around Oct of 05). i am also wondering if anyone ever recalls them offering anything in early NOv.
thanks

i am starting to feel very unloved :rotfl2: someone has to know this with all the disney brains power on this web site...mousesavers says there were promos then honest they do!

I don't know about promos but you can get a room discount and the dining plan if you book a package through AAA. We did that last year and will be doing it again this year. I just called for quotes today, in fact.

Early November used to be value season. I vaguely remember them doing a buy 5 (or was it 4) days, stay for 7 promo but I can't remember when.

thanks i just read about the aaa discount and had kind of forgotten it existed...according to mousesavers they had packages last fall. early winter but guess no one used them so they must have stunk :goodvibes hopefully someone somewhere knows what they were!

There was a room only discount for some days in November - I was able to get it for our visit the 12th - 16th and it saved a few dollars per night more than the AAA rate we had.

We had the room only code over the same as Tammy. Since there was no AP code available then it worked out pretty good for us. CR tower was ~$350 a night if I remember correctly.

OK - there were 2 codes that came out for our trip the first week of November. I think one was room only. The other was for a package. It wasn't "free" anything - like free dining or upgrade tickets. But it was like a discount on the package or value rate during regular season - something like that. I know we saved $700-$800 on 8 nights at Poly, with tickets and dining. It was enough of a discount to cover the cost of dining for both of us and park tickets for one but they didn't advertise it that way. It seems like it came out very close to the trip - maybe early October? I hope that helps some.

great thanks, so maybe that is a really bad time for promos as i think one yr they didn't have any around then.
