I need to book a Gatwick hotel with parking for November. The hotel I had sussed out on Holiday extras a fortnight ago now only has 8 days parking available and we need 15!

I've also come across a couple that can't accommodate the 5 rooms we need. I ddidn't think they'd book up this quickly!

Can anyone recommend somewhere? I'd like to pay about £120 for parking & room and £55 for just the room. We only have one car, the rest of us are on the train...

Last time we went to Holiday Inn Cheapish about £100 with parking but the room was dreadful Really Hot and stuffy,Even after turning off heating and of course the windows wont open even though we were on ground floor!
This time were def staying at the hilton,A tunnel takes you straight through to the airport!

Hi

We're booked in to stay at the Hilton this time, haven't stayed their before but my family swear by it.

On our last two Gatwick trips we've used the Ramada Plaza and can highly recommend them.

RosieJo,

You can usually extend the parking on your chosen hotel easily enough, unless you mean they have only limited capacity, but that would be a surprise in November. Give them a call.

Otherwise the Hilton gets our vote for convenience but not cost !

Have you tried Le Meridien? We stayed here the night before our last trip - it's a great hotel. We booked it through British Airways even though we were flying Virgin! It was only £85 including full breakfast.

Thanks everyone - I'll start looking these places up on the internet today :cheer2:

We again swear by the hilton, right on the airport, nice resturaunt, pool etc and seeing the planes fly over brilliant

Whatever you do, don't stay at the Holiday Inn. We booked a room plus parking. Firstly, our "family" room only had a double bed. So we queued up at reception again, and they allocated another room. I went to put our stuff in the other room, and there were already people in there! Back to reception again, where I was behind a guy complaining that his daughters had phoned him because someone had come into their room while they were asleep! Guess who
Finally get a third room, which looked identical to the first but in which someone had put a foldaway bed.

Fell for the "shuttle bus" ruse on the way out. Cost for four of us was more than the taxi on the way back.

Returning to the hotel, there was a big dent in the rear corner of our car. Hotel and their insurers disclaimed all responsibility -- "vehicle parked at owner's risk" etc. Eventually cost just short of £1000 to fix it.

I travel a lot on business and now refuse to stay at Holiday Inn, or any hotels owned by their parent company (Intercontinental Hotel Group/Six Continents Plc)

If you're prepared to get a cab or bus the Arora International at Crawley has excellent reviews on www.tripadvisor.com

We booked with Superbreak and found the price very competitive (£172 for 2 triple rooms including 15days parking for 1 car).

Yours
Daniel

A big thumbs up for Le Meridien here - lovely room, great service and just a quick walk through to the airport!

Try www.springwoodguesthouse.co.uk - we stayed here last October and were very happy with accommodation and parking. Rates are very reasonable - 10% off for booking on line. It's only a couple of minutes from both terminals
