Anyone recently built or live in a newer Ryan Home????

Dh and I are thinking of building a Ryan Home in a new community here. We are leaning toward the Victoria or Jefferson. What model did you build? Happy, why or why not? Any problems? Anyone ever purchase the model home? All comments welcome. Thanks!

We have a Ryan home. Ours is one of the smaller floorplans, the Stanford. We bought it in 1998, so we're going on 6 years already! Anyway, we've been very happy with our house, no problems with it. The thing about new homes is that the quality greatly depends on the specific superintendant and contractors who work for Ryan and who build your house, so you just have to hope you get good ones!

We didn't buy a model, but I've found that buying a model home is often a really great deal! (BTW, I used to work in new home sales, and my dh still works for a builder.) They load those things up with every bell and whistle, so you end up with practically every option available. Sometimes they leave in a lot of the decor too which is nice if you happen to like it. You can even use that as a bargaining tool, ask them to throw in the furniture you like and they just might do it.
