Flew on the VSO15 on September 10th and came back on the VSO16 October 1st both were refurbs, but agree with orangetiggs no way of knowing till check in.

Lyndon :)

There is a 4 in 6 chance of a refurb plane. 2 are currently being refitted - one went September the other has only just gone.

This will leave one to be done and VTOp who is leaving the fleet early next year.

we did VS15 on the way out on Sept 28th and it was an old one and did VS16 yesterday which was a new one

There are now 5 refurbs back o you have a 5 in 7 chance, we flew on the 3rd on a non refurb "ruby Tuesday" and it was a lot better than I anticipated, all IFE worked (though not on demand) seats in pretty good condition and good crew

Is there the same chance of a refurbished plane when flying from Manchester or is it a different fleet? We're on VS073 on Saturday and I hope it's refurbished!

The same fleet serves LGW and MAN so the chances are the same

Flew the 27 last Friday and it was Ruby Tuesday, crew said she was off for a refurb soon!! Coming back on the 16 a week Friday so anyones guess :)

So Ruby Tuesday isn't refurbished yet, does anyone know the names of the other/s that haven't been refurbished yet?

Ruby Tuesday and Virginia Plain. Ruby Tuesday is going to be but Virginia Plain isn't - she is leaving the fleet early next year and until then you still have the chance of a non-refurb.

Thanks for that! I'm checking in online this afternoon, I doubt that will tell me the plane name but I will have a look. If not I will find out at 11am at the airport tomorrow! X

You will not find out which plane until you get to the gate as it is not released for security reasons.

You will find out the config at online check in - refurbs have both PE & E in the bubble :thumbsup2

I looked at my booking and can change my seats on flight home but can't see anything for flight there so it might be a refurbed plane well hope so. not worried so much on the way back as kids will probably be sleeping on way home

Our flight is showing A330 from Manchester - from the seating plan it looks like a single decker plane? Has anyone been on this - we have only flown on the 747s wth VA. Thanks :)

I hadn't read your reply before my other half had checked in online so I didn't get to check the configuration grrrrrrrrr!

Thanks anyway!

What time is your flight? Mine is tomorrow from Manchester but it's the later flight, departing at 2.05pm. I haven't checked recently but last time u looked we were on a 747. Think you get all the movies on an A330 x

We go in December - the time changed to 11.15 from Manchester :)
