Anyone Recently Back From CR?

Anyone know what's going on with the refurbishments? Have they completed any sections? Is the South Wing closed? We're going to be at the CR in August and were just curious as to what is going on there.

I was just there a few weeks ago. The South Wing was closed. I stayed in the North Garden Wing. Not sure about what was going on in the Tower though. Any other questions just ask.

I was just there JUne 9 - 12. Stayed in North Wing, and there WERE parts of the South Wing that had guests staying there. The front desk CM mentioned something about having smoking rooms in the South Wing and when I asked about it being closed, he said that only parts of it were closed.

From the Pool, I could see sections of the South Wing had plywood and scaffolding around them.

They just apologized for the inconvience but weren't able to move us. We had 2 connecting rooms and that wasn't available. After the luggage experience I didn't want to argue anymore. I really did have a great time though. Loved every moment at all the parks. I guess that is all that matters.

We stayed at the Contemporary from june 6-13. There are only parts of the south wing that is closed. Our first room was in the south wing. We ended up moving to the north room. The cm at the front desk said they are only working on sections of the southwing at a time and not closing the whole wing.

Why did you move to the north? And did you enjoy your stay?

Our room that they gave us in the southwing was a handicap room. We called the front desk and asked to be moved. There were no more rooms available in the southwing, so we move to the northwing. Our room in the northwing had a water leak from the toilet. The pipe busted at 3:30 in the morning and our room flooded. There was about 3 inches of water in our room. The moved us the tower room and refunded our first night. The manager was wonderful.

We love the Contemporary. We have stayed at 6 different resorts and the Contemporary is my favorite. We have stayed there 5 times and can't wait until we go back for Thanksgiving.
