Having never been in a time-share situation before, I am Planning our first visit to BWV as DVC members....needless to say I am VERY excited.

Have a question about the kitchen. This is the list of kitchen supplies I found on Deb Wills' site. http://wdwig.com/bwv_kit.htm

Since it is several years old, does anyone know from recent experience if it is still reasonably accurate? While it probably is highly unlikely that anything changed, just wanted to be sure for planning. I am most concerned about the small appliances and cooking utensils. (We would make do with any dishes/silverware).

Also, do they give you a checklist when you first arrive?

Thanks for your replies!

Pat

the checklist is on the inside of the cabinets in the kitchen. If you are missing anything - just call housekeeping it will be delivery while you are at the parks

The only thing I noticed on Deb's list that is no longer provided for sure is the salt & pepper shakers.

How large are the boxes for the dishwasher detergent and the laundry detergent?

I assume (right or wrong?) that the laundry detergent is one of those single load boxes (do you get another on T&T day?).

Is the dishwasher detergent for one washing, or will it last a week? I saw dishwasher tablets (sample packs) at a $ store last week--wondering if I should pick some up.

hi: we usually don't do much in the way of cooking; usually we'll eat breakfast in the room if we don't have a character meal planned. as far as the dishwasher detergent goes, don't bother bringing any. housekeeping will resupply you as needed if you call them. they even give you a small bottle of dish detergent in case you have the inclination to wash something up in the sink. they only supply a single load of laundry detergent and will give you another on t/t day.

Bring a non-stick fry pan if you plan on doing any frying or eggs, the ones supplied are terribley

For laundry detergent I find it easier to just bring the tablet style from home. They don't take up much room in the luggage and we definitly wash more than once every 3-4 days. I love the convenience of being able to do a load at night and not have a ton to do when we get home.
