Out trip was all paid for and booked up, my parents are coming with us, i got them 6 day hoppers before the changes. Now my other sisters are coming along and my parents are coming earlier. They now need 8 days in the park not six. AP is not the most price effective for 8 days, has anyone successfully added to 8 days since the price increases? If so where did you do it? and was it $5 a day?

Did this on sunday to our daughters 6 day park hopper. It only cost us an extra $5. for both the extra days!! We paid $246. for the original 6 day hopper. We will still end up getting her an annual pass, but this way she can use an early entry day and go on saturday when the deluxe are blocked out. The cast member said yes immediately that we could do it, but had to have a lead come and authorise it. Don't know how much longer they will continue this but for now it still works.

I tried to add 2 days to my 5 day hoppers today and previously this week. They did not add days for me and told me there was no option to go beyond 5 days any longer. Maybe they didn't know the correct procedure? The manager that came over to add days then said they couldn't did give me a one day park hopper complementary which was very nice of her.

Oh no! I was planning to add days to a five day hopper next week :(

We were hoping this may be an option. We were fortunate to get the 6 day park hopper but we come in a day early and I was hoping we could add a day for cheap so we could atleast catch the fireworks andmaybe ride a ride or two. $5 would definatley have been worth it

We are in the same boat as you. DH and I were able to get 7 day park hoppers through airmiles but were only able to get 6 day for the kids online. Keeping my fingers crossed!

@smiley_face2 - Did you just go to the ticket window to add on the extra days? I was hopping to add an extra day to our tickets so we could go in for a little bit on the first day we were there.

I'm hoping someone will chime in here. My understanding is if one window says no, go to the next. Our plan was to add three days to our five day ticket next year (unless we end up buying APs).

Yes we went to a ticket window, the man there said right away that I could add the extra 2 days, then he proceeded to look it up in his computer and said it was only going to be $5. I thought he meant per day, but he said no it was for both days. I'm guessing because we paid a wee bit more buying the origianl 6 day hopper from Ayres travel. Like I said he did have to call over his lead to authorize it but it was no issue at all! I do not understand why Cielie had any problem....

Hopefully there will still be positive reports come September, and those being told no was just a blip.:thumbsup2

Hi.. bumping this up.. Hoping someone has reports of being able to add days to their tickets..

I think the difference is Canadian travelers vs US travelers. Disney likes our friends up north more than they like us and let them stay for longer...(tongue in cheek)

We did it a couple weeks back. Upgraded our 6-day hoppers to 8-days. We first inquired at City Hall on our first day in the park. They told me to go to a ticket booth. We did and the first guy tried to sell us an AP. The second guy we talked to knew what he was doing and made it happen. He voided our original tickets and issued new ones.

Here's the thing. If you're looking to do this in order to make arrival day a "light" park day, you'll want to check with the ticket booth first and see if it can be done before activating your tickets at the gate. Pretty much every report I read pre-trip was about people adding days after activating their tickets, so that's what we did. In hindsight, I should have tried to do it with my e-ticket at the ticket booth just to see if it was possible and be able to report back.

Also, the report above doesn't sound good for those with 5-day tickets but it could be a run in with a couple uninformed cast members. The first guy I went to was so not interested in helping us and had no clue about the $5 upgrade. The second guy knew exactly what I was talking about and went to town on his computer setting it up. he didn't even have to call a lead over to approve it (maybe he was the lead). Anyway, keep trying. There are a lot of ticket booths at the park. There's certainly more success stories than rejections being reported here.

We are arriving next Monday and I would like to upgrade our 4 days to a 6 day. Are we allowed to do that and if so will it also cost $5?

Thanks for the update.. I am leaving 8/12 and was hoping to make the first day a light day in the parks :)

First you need to upgrade it to a 5 day ticket for $15, then $5 more for the 6th day.
