Anyone recall what they paid for rooms last October

I'm planning a surprise trip birthday trip for DS the first weekend in October.

I've checked mousesavers to see if any codes were offered during this time in 2001 and 2002. I see that there were codes, but it doesn't say what the rate were.

I want to do All Star Sports October 2 or 3 then check out on the 5. On the 5th (DS 12 birthday) I want to check into the Beach Club for one night.

I'm trying to get an idea of what the rates may be if codes or ap rates come out for that time.

We went to POR Sept 29 - Oct 4, 2001...
We booked our room before Sept 11, the first of August I think. Anyways, We paid like $85 plus tax for our moderate and that was with a code.
I remember that the all stars had discount that were about $15 or $20 less than that.
Can't help you with the 2002 rate.. sorry...

We were there last Oct. and with 3 adults and 1 child in the room it was $110 per night. That was before I found these boards and Mousesavers though!!! Never again without a code!!

We were there last Sept 28th-Oct 4th. For the first night, we stayed at AllStars with a Texas Code rate of $49/night!! We had a 2 bedroom villa booked for the remaining 5 nights. I believe the code rate for anyone to use at AllStars was $59/night. By the way, I believe value season ended on Oct 2nd or 3rd and regular season began after that.

We stayed at both ASMu and BC in mid-October 2002. With taxes, the All-Star Music was $71.68 per night, and the Beach Club was $209.79. Both resorts were for standard rooms with a passholder rate.

Thanks so much. I priced the BC on Disney's web site and got a rate of $355 for a standard room. Glad to see that I MIGHT be able to get it for much less.

Can you arrive on Oct 1? That's the last day of value season, you would get value season rates for the entire stay and if discounts come out, probably a better discount.

I was thinking about doing that. We can get a late afternoon flight so that son won't miss school that day.

I just called WTC and booked the BC for $330.15. Is this a good rate?

VickiVM, I found your post interesting. I live in Austin, TX. I have heard and seen codes in the past for Florida residents... I have never heard or seen a Texas code. How did you come across that last year?

Last year there were many codes for various states, I believe. I, of course, heard about the code here on DIS and it was verified by Mary of Mousesavers.com. I would have her website on your "Favorites" so you can check often. She rarely, if ever, posts incorrect info regarding discount codes. This year may be different. I think the Fairy Tale Package has added another dimension to the whole discount game. Not sure how it will play out in the fall when those discounts have ended.

BTW, Happy 4th...are you getting rain in Austin? It's pouring here in SA. That's ok, I'm at work anyway.

We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge last year from Oct 18-24 and paid $139/night with the code. I thought this was a pretty good rate. We absolutely LOVED this resort.

We stayed at WL for a wknd in Oct. with an AP rate and paid $143.00 per night.
