Anyone purchased Passes from Walmart before?

Saw on another board that Walmart on I think 192 sell Theme Park Passes for WDW and Sea World.

Do they sell hopper passes only, or day passes as well.

Not sure if you can use the GC's at the Wal*Mart travel agency. They may be an independent vendor.
I saw the number for that Wal*Mart here before, so, maybe a search could save you some disapointment in the future. Would hate to see you get there and not be able to use the GCs.

You can buy Walmart GCs at a discount on their website right now, so that would take money off the cost of the tickets! If anyone finds out, can they post the answer?

BTW, use codes newten, saveten, csten to save $10 off a $50 purchase. You can get a $50 GC for $40.
That's 20% off.

Hi Ocalla: We stopped at the 192 Wal Mart travel agency and wanted to purchase only a one day ticket. The TA's there said that they only sold Animal Kingdom one day tickets and the rest were Hoppers. We were looking for Epcot only. This was only last month. Hope this helps.

I didn't know the one day tickets were park specific. I thought you bought one and then could pick which park to use it at.

Just called them and this is what they offer: (sorry did not ask for prices)

1 day Animal Kingdom (this is the only 1 day pass they will sell off property, not sure why)

4 & 5 day park Hoppers

5, 6 & 7 park Hopper Plus passes (I didn't realize there was a 6 day pass)

I made sure and asked if they accepted GC's and she asked her manager, and Yes they do accept them.

I would suggest calling and getting the persons name and managers name, writting it down along with the time of the call and date before heading out there with GC's just to cover you bases.

This could be a big help with those doing rewards programs and getting Wal-Mart GC's.

We are going to WDW and will be spending three days in the park on our trip in April. We had planned to purchase 4 day hoppers and save the extra day on each for our trip in December. Like all of the rest of us on this board, I want to save money any way I can.

What are the GC's? Are they gift cirtificates? Can you really buy them for less than face value? How would this compare to the DC discount? We haven't joined the DC yet and aren't really sure we will. We still have our MKC card and have been told that the DS's will honor them until the printed expiration date, so we will buy our tickets before we leave unless we can do better there.

Don't suppose they sell annual passes by any chance? Any info would be helpfull.

Yes GC's are gift certificates. I do alot of rewards programs (too many!!) and one of the rewards is to get Wal-Mart GC's or WebCertificates which can be used to purchase Wal-Mart GC's.

According to the above post you can purchase ONLINE $50.00 Gift Card for only $40.00 using the promotional code that she/he listed. Not sure if this is one code per household or not. But if you can use as many codes as you like, you can place separate orders for $50.00 GG's and each time use the $10.00 off code. This will save you $10.00 each time. So for a $200.00 pass you could save $40.00.

I think this would be a greater savings than the Disney Club, but maybe Gail or someone else can determine that.

Hopefully we can find out if we are able to use more than one promotinal code!!!!

DC discount is 5%. One day passes are one day passes usable at any park. They are not specific.
I would think that the postage to get the GC's from Wal*Mart would cut into the savings a bit.
Wal*Mart does not sell annuals, BUT, if you wish to appreciate the savings, buy any pass and upgrade it for an annual at WDW.
After reading the Wal*Mart site it seems apparent that Wal*Mart owns the travel agency, so, I am sure they would honor the GCs.
As to using different codes for different orders,
I have no clue. I just purchased my annuals via the phone yesterday (OUCH!!!!!). But, I get three trips out of them, so, it works well for me.

I think the only discount code working at WalMart right now is GETEN. It will get you 10 off 50. I haven't tried it, but you might be able to order from your email and from your spouses.

I think there is free shipping on the GCs, but I am not sure.

Just FYI I called the Walmart.com number and looked on their site and they are not running those code speicals anymore. They were good around Christmas time. He says there aren't any specials right now.
