Anyone purchase the SW movie preview package?

I'm wondering if anyone has decided to cancel their tickets for the event given what is currently known about the inclusions. As I understand it, here's what is included:

• Preview of the movie on 12/17
• After hours dance party
• After hours access to Launch bay (opens to the public on 12/1)
• After hours ride on new Star Tours (opens to the public on 12/1)

Do people think more will be added?

I didn't purchase the package because I figured I could wait for everything. And the thought of what if a soft opening of Launch Bay happened before the 17th? That thought has come to a reality as the Launch Bay opens Dec 1.

I never understood this as being positioned as early access to any of those attractions, I just though it was an exclusive party at HS. I didn't know though that only the Star Wars attractions would be operating. It's not like I have a ticket for it or anything, but I doubt it would discourage people.

Yes, I believe the fireworks are there too.

Yes, you're right, I don't believe it was marketed as early access but the the lack of information at the time & timing overall seemed to hint at it. They haven't really said if other parts of the park would be open, however they only specified that those 2 things would be able to be seen.

Just curious, what are the terms of c cancelation?

If I had the spare money and didn't have to line up for a seat after 8am. I'd have given the package careful consideration. The lining up almost 12 hours before the show for a seat was what made my decision.

Yes, select merchandise and food and beverage locations will operate during the after-hours party in addition to Star Wars Launch Bay, Star Tours The Adventures Continue attraction. There will be additional entertainment throughout the park. No other attractions are planned to operate

Where are you seeing that anyone will be lining up that far in advance?

on the post it says that Disney Springs will NOT allow anyone to line up or even enter before 8am on Thursday the 17th. They know SW fans will line up extra early to get good seats and not be stuck all the ay at the bottom of the theaer.
I'm not doing the package and I plan to be at Universal Citywalk (where we decided to watch on the 17th) around 9 am

It isn't just a preview of the movie. You will be seeing the whole movie at one of the first release times.

Yes some people will be coming at 8 a.m. on the dot. Was assigned seats not an option? If they did have assigned seat theaters then I would only show up the 1 hour prior that they are suggesting.

Assigned seats at that theater are only available on the movie and dine seats. All others are first come, first served. Not sure if any dining seats were available with the package or not. I didn't look because of the 8am comment in there.

I'm in NYC and was not swinging a trip just for this but I made sure we booked somewhere that had assigned seats. I would not have done this party if I was in Orlando and there were no theaters available with assigned seats. I will not get to a theater more than an hour in advance and even then I'm kind of grumpy over it haha. My fiance on the other hand will stand in line all day to see a movie from his favorite seat.
