Anyone purchaced pearl necklace cabin gift?

Just read your thread today - My husband surprised me with the necklace when we went on our 1st Disney cruise in 2003 for our 25th Anniversary! I was shocked that he pulled it off and my daughters didn't say a word either. The necklace is beautiful! I've gotten so many compliments on it. I already had a pair of pearl mickey earrings surrounded by gold which match it perfectly! They were about only $15 - I had gotten them on one of my trips to WDW. I wear the necklace to school once in awhile and all the students comment. - It's very pretty. And you can wear the pearls by themself if the occasion arises. I guess the biggest surprise was when one of the crew members knocked on the cabin door with the box. It was beautifully wrapped, and the wooden box is nice too. He just ordered them on line. I would recommend getting them. You'll love them!

Dh said that if anyone would like, he'll take a close up of it. The brochure picture is not good at all.

I would love to see a close up of the necklace. If your DH can do it, that would be awesome! The website's picture is really hard to see any detail. I want this necklace!! I have a Mickey ring that my DH bought me at Disneyland for Christmas. I would love to have a necklace and earrings to match!

The gold back is stamped with Disney.

The necklace clasp on one side is a "u" shape that you slide and click into place.

In the close up of the "gold" side, I turned it so you could see the clasp. It is still hard to see, but it is secure. In fact, I had a hard time undoing the clasp when I took it back off of the pearl strand.

don't forget to click on the smaller pictures for a better view. I know some of you probably already thought of that, but remember, I'm technology challenged and I might not have thought of that! LOL!

My aunt has a lovely strand of pearls and will be cruising with me in January. I would love toget her the mickey pendant without the strand of pearls. Do you know if they sell this?

I believe this is only sold together. I have never seen it anywhere else, not even on the ship. Now that was last summer so who knows.

Thanks for starting this thread I may have never noticed this item. I would much rather bring this home than do spa treatments Or of course do both I just showed the photos to my DH, he said order it, you do not have to tell me twice.

DH also suprised me with this on our cruise. I love it also and wore it almost non-stop for the cruise. I have to laugh at myself because I never knew until I read this thread that the Mickey pendant comes off and you can wear it separately. So Cool!!!! My only wish is that the accents were in silver instead of gold - but hey, I love it anyway! As stated earlier the box is really nice also!

A mild bump. I gave these to my DGF last week on the cruise and she loved them more than I expected, she even goes on about the presentation box. I am so thankful to the OP who helped define and show what this gift really is like, maybe someday DCL will post it's own pictures that do this item justice.

Ooh! These were waiting in our cabin on the 9/16 Wonder! My hinting to DH paid off -- and the photos posted certainly didn't hurt. The box is simply gorgeous. The pearls are beautiful. and the earrings we found on board (a pearl with two gold wire circles) coordinate beautifully as well. Hurrah for the wonderful people who surprise people with this wonderful gift!

Right now on ebay there is a set of 14k pearl mouse earrings that would look great with that necklace, if I only had the necklace. Since I don't have the necklace I will share with all of you. Do a search on ebay.com for mickey pearl. Currently the starting bid iis $69.99 and $4.50 shipping.

Oh, my gosh Thank You to whoever started this thread! I don't cruise until June but this will be on my list to order!! Next to diamonds Pears are my favorite !!! Now we just have to wait for the time.
