Was watching the weather last night and they said that here in the Adirondacks the colors will be absolutely spectacular this year - much more vivid - because of all the rain we've had.. :thumbsup2

When the time comes, I can't wait to get out there with my camera! I just love the fall season.. :)

Hey - do you have any links for the tree changes?

Thanks! :sunny:

No, I hate getting stuck in that traffic. You have fun though! :)

Come on up here where I am.. With all the seasonal folks gone, the most traffic on any given day is two or three cars.. :rotfl:

I think if you go to accuweather.com or weather.com they may have charts there.. :)

I live in VT which I think must be the leaf-peeping capital of the world. When I was a kid, I swore I only liked green trees - because my parents would squeeze the three of us in the back of the car, and drive around aimlessly all day long.

Now I actually enjoy driving around, but only if we get to stop to do some of the neat things going on all over the state this time of year - like apple picking, corn mazes, fairs, craft shows, etc. We don't just drive around looking at the leaves, though, I see them outside my kitchen window every day.

I can't wait!!! After living in Florida for many years, it will be a real treat to see the mountains in beautiful color in my new home in Virginia!!! :cool1:

Yep, I am an autumn sweat shirt person. Loving this cooler weather in MD!!! So yes, definitely anxious for leaf peeping time! We try to go yearly mid to 3rd week of Oct. to a fav county inn of ours in Berkley Springs W Va. for a wk end of R&R - some yrs. we do Harper Ferry, WVa or Shennadoah Mountains.

When my dear Dad was with us, we'd take a road trip to Cumberland, Md every fall. He trained there during summers when he was a young soldier and loved reminiscing while having some fried chicken :goodvibes. I sure miss him :guilty:

All I could think about when I read the thread title was Martin Sheen on The West Wing giving the radio address. :happytv:

I miss The West Wing :sad2:
