I am planning a big family trip (between September and November) in 2015. I'm still hoping to make it down there this year for a quick visit though. A year and a half is so far away... =(

If you want to rent points at VGF for July 2015 I would start looking in a few months so you can have your res. booked at the 11 month mark. Before we bought DVC we rented a few times. I would always find an owner who would let me give them a deposit before the 11 month booking window so I always got what I wanted.

We are talking about possibly going Thanksgiving Week 2015.

We are thinking about it. We usually go in January for low crowds and the fact that we both have late January birthdays, but it's kind of tempting to try November this time for the holiday decorations. Any thoughts?

You might want to consider going around Thanksgiving or later because of the Holiday Storytellers at EPCOT and Candlelight Processional which start on Black Friday and to ensure all of the decorations are up. It is such fun to resort hop. Hopefully the Osbourne Lights will still be at DHS. We went a few years ago during Thanksgiving Week and now we only want to go this time of year. We went this past Dec to experience MVMCP since they don't have it Thanksgiving Week. It seems to be the Fri before and the Sun after. We also didn't get to see the MK tree which is not up until after the Christmas Parade taping the first week of Dec.

I'm thinking either very end of January or beginning of February for our trip . We might end up pushing it back to early March tho, i haven't decided yet.

And i know we want to stay in either a preferred room at Pop or head back to Riverside.

Do you have an idea what hotel you might want to stay or I should say hotels if you are thinking of a split stay?

Looks like were thinking about going the same week. Most likely the same resort. My son loves pop century. We did POR this past November and I loved it but my son would love to be totally immersed in everything disney and he just didn't feel it at that resort. Though he loved there food court.

I've stayed there three times and love it too. This past trip we celebrated my mother's 70th birthday and wanted to make it special so we went to POR. Beautiful resort but very large. Best food court.

This coming trip will be our first family trip, my inlaws(MIL AND FIL only) are going with us, so I figured POP was a win win. Don't have to stop at different resorts on the bus and it'll be perfect for my MIL and FIL, being they grew up in those eras. ... Well, 60,70,80

Our next trip, (2016) that is just in the talks right now, might be POP also! I remember the busing for the All Stars and it took forever and they were always sardine can packed since your had to stop at all three resorts!

Yes! February or April for us. Got a free dining PIN for this year, sooooooo tempting, but just couldn't pull it off. Plus, by the time we thought maybe we could use it, it was December - and call me crazy, but I want more time than that to plan! I love the planning process and didn't want to pull it off in less than 2 months. So 2015 it is!
