Anyone pay MORE with AAA?

I just hung up phone with AAA agtent who quoted $300 more than WDW site for 2 categories lower room. I asked her to double check and she confirmed the price. When I told her the rates were well over direct undiscounted, she said WDW was having computer problems and she would have to call them back to see if they quoted the wrong thing. The rate I am using is the same one I have been getting all week, so I feel pretty confident that I am not wrong. Anyone smell a rat?

Nope, we booked through AAA and saved a nice chunk of $$. The agent must be right about the computer glitches.

Try the travel section on www . aaacolorado . com (without spaces). Before I bought my membership, I was able to check the hotel prices online there. You just can't continue and book without a membership.

You guys are probably just comparing apples to oranges.

Make sure you have the right ages, dates, tickets (hoppers, water parks, etc.) Disney also automatically adds on the travel insurance, so you have to watch that.

The AAA price cannot be higher than rack rate. The AAA rate is a discounted rate.

We acctually had this happpen once, we were staying over 2 seasons. On the third day of our trip it switched from value to regular season. When you book with Disney you keep the same rate of the date you check in, even using AAA. However, we had trouble with booking with AAA that they started charging us the higher rate for the last four nights. When I checked it on the AAA web site it did the same thing. After discussing this with my agent she was able to call Disney and fix it. I do not know why this happened. Just a possibility. Also sometime they are selling you different passes or something.

I don't know. I confirmed the details, which is why I was so incredulous. I am also positive there was no season straddle. I fired off a complaint to AAA and the next day they called back with a rate that was $500 less than the 1st quote. I really think the agent was just padding it.
