Anyone own beachfront in OCNJ?

We're in the Phila area and for Christmas my DH gave me a weekend in OCNJ with my girlfriends! Now I need to find a beachfront place to rent for a long weekend in Jan/Feb/Mar. We usually rent from the realitor but I was hoping to rent privately instead of going through the realitor.

What I would recommend doing is calling the local paper and having a copy sent to you. They are called the Sentinel, the Gazette (which is available online) and the Atlantic City Press also available online.
You won't see places listed as available now, but you'll see the beginning of summer rentals showing up under seasonal or summer. You can call and see if they have any openings for the winter. Alot of owners rent their places to people as winter rentals. Some of them also winterize their place by shutting of the elect/gas and draining pipes. So i'm not sure how much luck you'll have but it's wort a try. The reason the realtors will make it easier is they can search their listings just looking for places that are available in the winter.
