Make sure you find out how much it is for basics like oil changes. A friends of DSs bought an expensive foreign car and his oil changes were really, really expensive.

I will mention the car I am dealing is expensive, so I am no stranger to that. But DH found a rebuilt engine for the car for about 1,100. And we have someone who will install it for 500. So it is much cheaper than me buying the other vehicle. I will know more tonight. Trying to keep you guys updated. Thanks everyone.

Lost In Space's link was a real eye opener on Range Rover's for me. I hope you took the time to look at the article.

The rebuilt engine will replace the engine that is blown and we have a mechanic already who will install it for 500. So 1,600 for doing our car. The range rover was going to cost 3,500. So we will be only paying half. And our car is not 20 years old. Hope that clears things up and you understood what I wrote.

Yes, thank you, that is why we are thinking about just replacing our engine as it is not that old of a car. And can't beat it for 1,600 for everything and no payments.

Ahh...sounds better! I was thinking that you were going to buy the RR and replace it's engine!

Oh heavens no, that one already has the rebuilt engine. But it seems much cheaper to put a rebuilt one in ours.
