Our old washer isn't worth fixing and somebody recommended a Fisher and paykel brand. They're originally from New Zealand but are now being manufactured in Ohio (or so I read on-line :teeth: )
TIA!!!

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: We do, we do, we do!!!

LOVE this washer. When we first got it, I thought I'd need a degree to figure out how to actually work it, but it's really been a snap. VERY energy efficient, very water efficient, gets our clothes VERY clean, and spins so much water out of them, that my 14 year old dryer (that I now hate BTW) is also working better.

It's a top loader, got the biggest drum I've ever seen, and the best part of all? I NEVER NEVER NEVE have to go to the laundrymat again, because each of our comforters will fit!!! :yay: :cheer2: :yay: :cheer2:

If you have any specific questions, let me know.

Lowe's is the big box retailer around here that sells them, and I think some Mom and Pop shops carry them as well.

:teeth: Thank you SO much for posting. I had never even heard of Fisher and Paykel until today.

What model do you have?

We have this one:

The IWL16. We had initially ordered the lower model, but there was a problem with delivery, and Lowe's made us a GREAT deal on the higher end one.

I just pulled DS's WHITE baseball pants out of the washer, they had blood and grass on them, and it all came out. :yay:

We have both the washer and dryer and love them both... :thumbsup2

I have a F&P washer. The only complaint is my hood has cracked twice. It does spin the clothes fast so they do not take that long in the drier. :laundy:

Tracy: which model did you buy and was it under warrantee?

We have a washer and dryer too. I LOVE them. My dog on the other hand, hates the washer. That's right, my dog. When the washer spins makes a high pitched noise that bugs him. The noise does not bother us at all by the way.

We have one too. It has been fine, but do not overload! I have found the washer much more delicate than others I have had and doesn't react well to "rough" handling.

I will have to go check. My mother use to work for an appliance place. So they fixed it for me twice with no problem. They ordered me a new hood. There is only a 1 year warriaty on parts. When the repair man came he said who sold you this piece of %^&*.

He told me to be careful with the hood when I open and close it. He also told me the saleman got a free washer and drier if he sold x amount. That is why they really push them. I`ll check my model # later. I`v had it about one and half years.
