Just acquired a D810 on a trace (traded my gaming PC with monitor for Camera with 3 lenses....35, 50 and 85mm). Would like to get an all around lens for Disney/traveling. What lenses do you recommend. I do have a Nikkor AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8G ED lens but would like something with a little more zoom.

24-120, 28-300, 80-400 are all good options. 80-400 if you wanted something (expensive) to compliment the 24-70.

Edit... Don't know how I forgot to mention, but the 70-300 VR is an awesome lens for the money.

Got the 70-200 f/2.8 ED VRII Lens. So far very impressed.

Not exactly an all-around lens lol, but yes, very nice. Now you just need the 14-24 to complete the trinity.

That is the lens I am looking for. I got a steal on the 70-200 (paid only $600 at local photo shop, was on consignment, nothing wrong with lens and was just serviced a month ago).

Wow. Jealous. I've seen "For Parts" copies sell for more.

How do you like the DF. I was leaning towards one before getting the D810.

I like it. D810 would be considered superior in almost every way.

I like the classic look since I own a few old film SLR's. Yea I was making sure nothing was wrong with the 70-200 for that price. Must have shot about 100 photos with it in the shop to make sure.
