Hi!

I'd love to chat with anyone who is a UU, or anyone part of a welcoming congregation church. I've been going to a UU church for about 6 months and I really enjoy attending. They are extremely active in supporting gay rights. It's so different from the church I was forced to attend as a kid.

No, toneyba, but I've thought about going to see what our local one is like. I have a friend who belongs and she really is happy with the level of spirituality. The local UU is lead by a Buddist (never can spell that, where does the "h" go?) who is also a lesbian, so I think it must be a pretty welcoming and encompassing "church."

UU here! And always happy to talk to a fellow UU. I'm a member of a wonderful church and we are working on our "welcoming congregation" certification. (Who knew you had to get certified? I thought we were already pretty welcoming! :goodvibes )

Anyway, I've been a UU for about 7 years now and I live deep in the bible belt, so the church is my only source of sanity.

Although I currently am not attending services, I am from a congregational church . The church as a whole is very welcoming , not sure if the particualr one I go to is welcoming , or can't < swishin here > tell I'm gay <wink>

This church does the whole " Still Speaking " ad's the ones the networks wouldn't run last year , they were TO gay friendly!!

Yep! I am one of the rare oddities that was actually dedicated as a UU from birth. I don't attend services anymore but still believe in the philosophy.
