Anyone order BonVoyage decorations for room?

Does anyone have a photo of the room decorations? Any theme will do. I have ordered Happy BD for my DD but the pic provided by Disney does not show much. :)

Thanks

Here is photos from our April cruise on the BonVoyage Room decorations (the picture does not include the banner that was hung up above the verhandah door) and the sand bucket done by Shirley for DS for Easter

Thank you for posting the pictures. Makes me want to do both, the stateroom decorations and Shirley's baskets. I agree with y'all regarding DCL having some sort of Anniversary decorations package. We are cruising for our Tenth Anniversary. :sail:

We cruised for our 10th anniversary also. We just added a Palo brunch and a spa villa booking instead of the decorations. You will have a great time. Hey you could always order the cake of the day from room service.

Thank you all for the help and information regarding the gift baskets from Shirley! I ordered the Bon Voyage decoration and a couple of gift baskets from Shirley. I can't wait to see the kids faces when they walk into the room. What is also so awesome is I ordered my DH his favorite beer and some champagne..it's a suprise..I am bitting mt lips So I don't give it away! Shirley is really good at asking questions so that you get what your family likes. Neat lady!

:cheer2:

Mary - We've already booked the open-air cabana massage while on CC. That will be some nice childless time. Also, we are scheduled for dinner at Palo. I know they will bring a "celebration" cake if I mention it is our Anniversary. But, I am anticipating the chocolate souffle' everyone on here raves about. The more I think about it, the more I may just have Shirley make DH a basket like the kids.

Does anyone know if Shirley can add alcohol, like Jack Daniels, in a gift basket? My DH could get all the free coke he wants as a mixer. Then, I don't have to carefully transport a bottle from TX to FL (Can I even do that legally?). :drinking1

Thanks for all the GREAT information. Y'all are the best source of information for our upcoming trip! :flower3:

Yes, Shirley can make any basket you like. You can put just about anything you desire. She is so fun to work with.

We had our celebration cake on the 2nd night of our cruise, because we were going to Palo's for the "real" anniversary date. The chocolate souffle is to die for and I won't ever have the celebration cake for my Palo dessert! Palo just has too many good dessert choices and the celebration cake is just ok (alright it taste just like a big HO-HO).

Have a great time on your anniversary!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

You know, I was looking all over the DCL site today to figure out how to do this. Couldn't find it in the SPA section or the CC section. So, how did you book it in advance?

Can anyone tell me how they attatch the room decorations? We are sailing over Halloween and I was t put up some Halloween decorations as DCL does ot offer any. I was thinking of bringing some of that 3M stuff, as to not damage the walls, but I was wondering what DCL uses.

:boat: When it was 75 days from our sailing, we stayed up until 2 AM (CST) to book all our excursions including the open-air cabana massage and Palo. :surfweb: If you are all paid and at the time-frame where you can book excursions, it should be under the Vista Spa. If it is not listed, you may want to call DCL. It could be all booked up. However, it never hurts to ask. I never found information on the open-air cabana massage on the DCL website. I had to google it and found the pricing and information through a DCL Wedding/Anniversary package site. Go figure. :scratchin I hope that helps. pixiedust:

Mary,

:thanks: Thank you for the response. Yes, I don't plan on having their celebration cake over the chocolate souffle' at Palo. I love anything chocolate and have never had a souffle'. So, that is something I am truly looking forward to. :cool1: I think liking chocolate must be a woman thing. My DH never seems to understand my desire for chocolate. My favorite is dark chocolate. Which I recently heard was good for you. What a wonderful excuse for a Hershey's Dark bar every once in awhile. Right now, I am dieting in anticipation of the five pounds I plan on gaining on the upcoming cruise. :yay:

My DH will be surprised by the Jack Daniel's in his basket. I will call Shirley. I hope she can do it. DH knows I plan on getting the kids baskets. So, it should still be a surprise for him when the transaction shows up on our checking account. :scared1: He may just wonder why three baskets cost so much. Then again, he knows I like to spoil the kids and will probably just let it go. :thumbsup2

Jennifer-
I forgot one thing at Palo's you must try (that is if you do brunch- that is a must by the way!) You get a piece of stollen bread spread the strawberry perserves on top and then add a dollop of REAL whip cream- believe me it was out of this world. Our server told us that this is a crew specialty and now I know why.

Don't worry if there aren't any to book online. Just go to the spa to reserve once onboard. They only post about 40% of the bookings online. They usually have plenty of spots. Now I don't think you can't reserve the spa villas online, I believe you have to do that once on board ( that was of August). Maybe things have changed now. The one thing I will have to say about the cabanas is that it did get a bit hot in there but the sound of the ocean made up for all of that. I would recommend either doing it early in the day or the last thing prior to heading to the ship, IMHO.

Mary,

::yes:: That sounds so yummy! I did tell y'all I am on a diet right now, right? :yay: We are going to try and book a brunch at Palo while onboard. We already booked dinner and can only book one meal online. We will definitely try the stollen bread w/strawberry preserves and cream if we get in for a Palo brunch. Thank you for the info. :mickeyjum
