I didn't see a thread for this date. If anyone on the boards is going, please post. My mother and 9 year old neice will be with me. :cool1: My sister, her friend, and my 1 year old neice may possibly go. They are undecided. I will look forward to seeing if someone else from the boards is going. It would be nice to talk to someone that will be there before the cruise.

Hi! We'll be there! We're doing the land/sea trip adding an extra day on the beginning! My DS (3) is already excited! princess: :wizard: pirate:

I thought i had started one but it got lost.. We are on this cruise too... There are 3 of us.. Me my granddaughter 4yo and my friend from work. We cant wait. We went the past 2 sept and had a blast both times.

My little guy tells everyone he meets that he is going to disney and then on the big boat! I don't know who is more excited me or him! princess: :wizard: pirate:

I'm the most excited. LOL. I've never cruised or flown so it looks to be an experience. :cool1: I'm so glad that there are others from this site going.

Ladypoo, Are you staying extra time before or after? We will be there 1 day before and 1 day after.

We may go down a few days early. depending if we can get good rates at one of the value resorts, Or maybe even at PO Riverside. We do like it there. We have a couple of short trips planned before the cruise.
Where are ya'll going to be staying. If we go early, I know we will be doing EPCOT for Illuminations.

We are staying at Cocoa Beach. We love the beach and 2 extra beach days are great in my book. My neice has never really spent any time at the beach(maybe a couple of hours) so she needs to experience it. We are also on a budget so unfortunately Disney couldn't be included this trip.

My brother lives in Cocoa Beach, I hope I can leave my car at his house hopefully and help with my budget. That should save me 30 bucks or so.

Ladypoo, The motel 6 has been recomended to us. We don't really need anything fancy as long as it is safe and clean. It is much less expensive than the other motels which helps my budget. It is supposed to be within walking distance to the beach and Ron Jon(I think). If you can, please ask you brother about this motel. I would hate to get there and it be awful. We have stayed at Motel 6 in Ohio before so we know they are basic. We still want clean and safe. I will not take a chance on my family's safety to save money.

Hi all, DH and I will be joining you. We are doing the land/sea package. This will be our 7th Disney cruise. Yes, we are Disney cruise addicts. We are in our early 50's but are really just "big kids". We are staying at the Carribean Beach for the land portion of our cruise. We will have to plan a DIS meet with you all as our cruise gets closer.

We'll be joining you! I'm in charge of our family vacation (there's 11 of us!) so I'm spending HOURS researching everything and anything in hopes of making this our best vacation ever. It will be the first DCL for all of us. My other family members have never been to WDW, so we'll spend 4 days there before the cruise as well as 2 days at USF/IOA. I think the adults are more excited than the kids!! :Pinkbounc

Yes it is great to met before we go. I'm go glad that there are several of us cruising. For those of you with children, What ages are they? I'm 37 and I'm traveling with my mother and my neice, age 9. We are all first time cruisers and are so excited. I don't know if I can stand to wait that long. I guess I will have to. lol. :earboy2:

Also, Do any of you have plans for Nassau? If so, what? Just curious. We will probably go to the straw market, maybe some other shops, then back to the ship. We have talked about going to the free beach not far past the straw market. I can't remember the name of it now but it is within walking distance of the ship. I'm not really sure. I've heard that the people in Nassau are very pushy in trying to get your money by selling items/services. I've also heard the crime is bad there so I am kind of wary to get off the ship at all. Has anyone heard anything about this or been there before? I would be glad to hear all opinions/experiences.

Have a great day!!!

I will have my 4 year old granddaughter with me on the cruise along with my friend from work.
We more than likely will stay on the ship in Nassau. If we get off, it will be to go over to the Color changing store. I forget the name of it. The last time we were there it was a nasty rainy day. We watched the movie and just rambled around the ship. We did the glass bottom boat tour the first time and it was not what I thought it would be..

We went to nassau on our last cruise and didn't really like it. It was kinda pushy/dirty. I think we're going to go to Atlantis instead. We thought our son would like to see the big aquarium since he's too young to really snorkle or anything yet (He'll be almost 4 by the cruise).

Del Sol is the name of the color changing store. It is neat. what you buy changes colors out in the sunlight. they have clothes tote bags and lots of other stuff. My mind went blank there. sorry. It isnt a far walk from the ship either.

Hi All,
We will also be cruising on May 5th - Nana & Papa along with 3 grandkids (4, 6, & 8 - all girls) and two parents. None of the kids have sailed before and they are VERY excited. First time Disney sail for most of us. I have started a fun thing ... Type up a letter in Word and clip a Disney character's photo into it (Google has lots of photos). Send to the kids telling them you are excited that they are taking the trip and sign it as the character!! - They love the letters!

We will be staying at Fort Wilderness - anyone else staying there before the cruise?
