anyone on the wonder 11/21/04?

Good Morning Everyone::sunny:
Our tag your it list is getting nice and long. I know my kids are looking forward to it.:Pinkbounc :bounce: I hope I didn't leave anyone out.

Lilo5: I am not very good with computers.........here's a suggestion....... how about the kids decorating the sheet without the computer. You can just write your screen name on top of paper. you can use markers, stickers, :scratchin just an idea.

Linda: Does your Uncle cook at all?:teeth: I am sure it will be fine. It actually sounds interesting. She probaly would have a mixed items on her menu? I think your right in saying after 4 days of really good food it won't really bother you. Glad you will be with family though.:sunny:

Disneynotes: I GAVE IN............. I talked with my Mom. She is driving to the port. I am shipping some things to her. She promises me to bring them in her day bag and will guard them like gold. lol I know I will send her toasting glasses and my Tiara. Not sure how much more pressure to put on her.:earseek: Tina

Linda: Just saw your long post and will now try to answer some of your questions.........I have been thinking about this cruise everyday just like you !:Pinkbounc :bounce: When we took the 3 day wonder 2 years ago we it was our first Disney cruise. I think we learned alot. This time around.......... I am doing the spa. I would like to get at least one treatment if before my wedding fine if not I will take it afterwards. I know it's expensive...........one treatment we deserve it.::yes:: My future husband is insisting this time. hmmmm maybe he thinks I am stressed.:hyper:

We didn't do palo last time. I heard it's not to miss. It's part of our package so we are doing it on our last night, We are also doing the brunch. Tried to do the dolphin encounter last time it was sold out. Lesson learned get tickets early. We got them this time. Afterwards we will hang out at Blue lagoon. Last time we did blue lagoon with stingray it was nice. So many stingray's . Blue Lagoon is a beautiful area. They even have hammocks and you can find a private area for your self.:sunny: I couldn't get my clock going. Chuck helped me. He is in Fla. for 2 weeks for a meeting. He works on the road alot. He knows alot more about computers then me. Try going to the tech. board and they can walk you through it. They give you step by step on how to do the countdown for the clock. Sorry I couldn't help more.Tina

castoff-good for you for shipping things. You're mom will like being involved, too.

Anyone have suggestions on what to do between boarding time and safety drill time?

Hmm. Good question! We'll probably spend the time wandering around, having lunch, etc until our room opens up. Then we'll head there, unpack and get the kiddo signed up in the kids club.

Since some of us have early seating........... I was thinking would it be better to have a Dis. meet at parrot Cay for Lunch? After lunch is when we will be gone for wedding stuff for awhile. The kids really don't want to miss the sail away party. It's only a suggestion. I will go with what everyone else wants to do.:sunny: Tina

I believe 4:30 to 5:30 then dinner is at 6 ?

Ok, let me see if I have this straight.

4:00 - lifeboat drill
4:30 - sail away party
6:00 - early seating (that's us)

Seems like there isn't time for ice cream and visiting in that schedule.

What about 3:00 before the drill? Would that work? I guess it depends on if we can get into our rooms or not.

The drill is at 3:30. It only lasts for about a half hour. Last time we wen't on cruise we had lunch when first boarded. Afterwards our rooms were ready.

Another thought ............having lunch when you board you won't be lugging your stuff around.:teeth:

Disneynotes: Disregard the above statements sorry :( I just looked up a recent navigator to get correct information. Here you go............... Boat drill is at 4:00 sail away party is from 4:30-5:15.
We tried to get in our rooms last time and were told they weren't ready. Found out they usually don't let you in them before 1:30. Tina

Going by that schedule............if everyone gets on board we could meet at parrot cay for lunch. Then people could go to there rooms afterwards. We are going to be on a tight schedule because of wedding stuff, but that is a good thing.:teeth:

Thanks for the schedule. We are going to try to board as early as possible. I don't think my kids will go for a sit down lunch when we've just boarded because they'll want to look around. Go ahead and plan it though and we'll stop by and say HI and meet the group. (we'll probably end up staying for dessert anyway)

That'll leave you free for the afternoon to plan and it'll keep everyone busy until their rooms are ready.

I didn't think about having to carry all of our life jackets, etc. to the meet if we schedule it just before the drill. Scratch that idea.

You get your life jackets from your room. So either way ..........you have to stop at your room before the drill. I didn't set up the dis meet. I was only making a suggestion to change it to a earlier time for perhaps lunch. The sail away party is soooooo much fun. My kids are really looking forward to it. We will figure something out. Don't fret.:)

Just re-read your post........I understand what your saying now.

They have Mickey, Minnie, Goofy all the cool ones on stage singing and dancing. You can see the kids and adults in front dancing to.It is up on deck 9 midship. Nice upbeat music. They have you do some dance steps. Let's get this party started type thing. You here the disney horn blow before we sail away.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Hi everyone!
I can finally start packing! We made an unexpected trip down to my parents this weekend so we needed the suitcase. There's nothing like unpacking your sandles and shorts to replace them with sweatshirts and long pants!
We too have early seating for dinner. I'm not sure if my kids or DH will go for the sit down lunch. I'm also not sure what time we will be on the boat we're doing the land/sea and using Disney transportation. I'm sure we can work something out.

minnie1000- Wow you got your docs! How exciting: We booked through AAA so I'm patiently awaiting a call from or TA(not). I'm so excited I can hardly sit still:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

zack&alexmom- We did the land/sea the third week of November in 2001. In Florida it was in the mid 70's to low 80's and during the cruise it was in the mid 80's to low 90's. The weather was beautiful:sunny:

What if we try for 3:00pm for a quick meet and then we will know what each other looks like and maybe some of us can hook back up for the sail away party. Then we can see where we stand from there. (who has what seating / rotation ect.) We should have been able to get into our rooms by then and had time to look around and get settled. We won't have a lot of time but at least we will know what each other looks like so that we aren't passing each other in the hall all day & not knowing it.

Castoff- if you are planning your wedding then maybe we could you could leave you a message (you would have to tell one of us your room #) telling you about where we are going to try and be for the sail away party.

Am I being naive thinking that we can find a place to meet for the sail away party if we go right after the life boat drill?

Maybe we could all try and get a Home Depot Mickey Head to use as a pin or necklace (how big are they) and that would help identify us.

I am just thinking out loud. Let me know what you guys think.

Linda
