This might seem stupid, but I feel alone lately. I've been on WW maintenance for about a month, and I feel the weight loss and exercise challenges are just a bit too much for me now, and I MISS JOINING THEM! (I'm in the exercise challenge, but I won't reach goal minimum this month)

If anyone else here is on maintenance, or just wants to maintain as a challenge, would you care to join me? :confused3 I'd LOVE some company. :flower1: NOT GAINING is a Challenge, too. ;)

I want to also add my Thanks to everyone here for helping me GET to maintenance! :grouphug:

So, anyone interested? I don't have any cute clippies or Fabulous charts, but I'd like some company, if possible. :goodvibes

Thanks for reading!

:flower1:

Hey Kim! I wish I were in maintenance mode, but I am not. Just wanted to say congrats again to you for making goal. You continue to inspire me and I hope to someday join you in the goal club.

Hi Kim - I'll join you in the maintenance club.
Im finding it hard to get outside and walk in the winter - will go this morn as its up to 20degrees
My weight fluctuates a few lbs up but then I get it right back down again. Ive been maintaining for maybe a yr now. I agree not gaining is a challenge too.
Some days I find myself eating better than others - still using fitday so I have a way to keep track.

Have a good day

I'll join, too. I've been in maintenance for about 18 months. I gained a little over the holidays, but seem to be back on track. Maintaining is awfully hard work.

Hi Kim,

I'm not on maintenance but I made a clippie if you would like to use it. Don't feel obligated, I just love making clippies. No waste if its not used!!!!

You are doing fantastic :cheer2:

I'd like to join. I feel the same way you do. Maintaining is almost as hard as losing!!! So, count me in

Count me in! I'm doing ok with the exercise part, but I'm struggling with the food choices. If anyone has suggestions, I'm listening.

Sundie, awesome clippie! Thanks.

Sundie, that clippie is GREAT! Thank you so much for taking the time to create that. I just WISH (ha-ha) I knew if it was safe to use...I'm not sure if it would put me over the siggie limits or not, but THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! :cool1:

Debbi, YOU were MY inspiration, and my buddy this past year, and I thank you! :worship: You've done a fabulous job yourself. :cool1:

newholiday, sounds like you're doing great, very committed...CONGRATS! :cheer2: Do you have any in-home tapes you can use? That is ALL I've used for a year now.

Setzkitten, a Congrats to you, too! WOW, 18 months? That's fantastic! Any tips for longevity??

sm, it seems everyone here agrees that maintenance is just as hard as losing. (Nice to know I'm not alone) I know for me, adding on additional WW points seemed like heaven at first, but I've found I don't NEED or WANT them, so I guess that's why I've continued to lose - 4 lbs in 5 weeks, on maintenance.

norma, whatever you did before to get to maintenance obviously worked, have you tried it again? Maybe alternate your days? I don't know what plan you follow(ed). Like tonight, I splurged and had a fat-free brownie from Market Day (trust me, they're GOOD!), but I didn't have the popcorn I planned on, or all of my lunch, and I exercised, so I kept within my points, and still had some left-over. In my mind, I splurged, because I made a change to my eating plan for the day, but other unplanned changes balanced it out. Maybe 'trick' yourself by making really small changes? :confused3

So anyway, I'm thinking this can be a place for support, encouragement, mutual understanding of our day-to-day struggles, congrats for achievements and overcoming obstacles along the way, etc. Make sense? Post freely, and often. ;)

Welcome!!!! :grouphug:

Kim - I understand what you mean about not needing/wanting to eat more.
Doc told me not to loose any more so Ive been trying to eat about 2100 calories/per day. When I was at 122 he didnt say anything to me, once I got to 118 he told me to stop so Im trying to keep myself at 120. Those days I get out to walk I figure I burn about 2100 for my body type, etc. Before the holidays I found myself checking fitday to make sure Ive eaten enough - there were a few nights I needed to find more to eat. Since the holidays & winter set in Im struggling more to keep at that 120. Yes Im a scale watcher - Im afraid if I dont keep at it my weight will escalate again - gain back that 45lbs.

anyone else find themselves having days when they need to eat more so they dont loose any more? who's having trouble with the winter?

just replied to another thread and thought Id add this here:

why did we loose the weight to begin with? feel better? vacation? family health problems?
My biggest motivator was my brother getting sick and realizing heart disease is hereditary in our family. When I find myself slipping I remember my Dad/brother and get my fat & sodium intake back under control.
So what keeps you going?

oh ya it feels good to put on that tankini!

I know the feeling. I don't want to eat or change my eating back. I don't want carbs, I don't miss carbs. I like all the veggies and stuff that I eat. Strange huh. Most when they go to SBD want to eat all they want and whatever they want while maintaining. It makes me sick!!!! Sugar is gross and all that other stuff just makes me fell dull. I'd rather eat healthy than feel sick.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Which apparently I was NOT up to this past week......I was up a pound yesterday at WI. And today, if I counted my unofficial WI, it was up ANOTHER 1.5 lbs! This is in 2 DAYS! :earseek:

Guess I'm NOT maintaining as well as I thought. :guilty:

I would love to be in this group, too! :wave2: I have only been at goal for a couple months, and I was doing great until the half marathon was over. I have been wanting to eat everything in sight since then, and not exercising as much because I'm not in that training mode. I think it is actually harder to maintain sometimes because I know I don't have that accountability of standing on the scale in front of my leader each week - who will notice if I eat a few extra points here and there... I can always get it off by next month.... Anyway, please count me in!

:teeth: Lynnda

I'm doing great everyone. I actually lost 2 more pounds. I think its the extra workouts that I've been doing. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing wonderfully and hanging in there.

Ok, I'm doing much better with my food choices. I was simply splurging too often. I have to realize that I will have to watch my food intake for the rest of my life. I just can't eat whatever I want because I'm at goal. Actually, it's not too difficult most of the time because I like fruits and vegetables and salads. I also find that setting new goals and challenges (like the exercise challenge) help keep me motivated.

Keep up the good work everyone!

:wave2: everyone!

Great job Sheree'!!

Norma, you sound JUST like me! What I've been doing about those splurges, is I PLAN on them! Yep, plan my points so I CAN splurge. It's all psychological for me, but it helps me to think that I DESERVE the splurge that way. ;)

Oh, I was down 2 lbs this week myself, one pound being the one I gained last week  , and another for good measure, I guess.

Have a great week everyone! :cheer2:

Now this was a GREAT idea! I was really wondering how to keep this motivation going now that I am more than 1/2 way to my goal and I think your idea would work for me. I need to feel that wee bit of peer pressure to keep me motivated during those really hard times.

Way to go! Yes, you should use the clippie, as you have earned that! (Great clippie Sunny!) ;)

Hello everyone! How is it going. I am doing great and actually down a pound. I think it's all the new exercising that I've been doing. I'm eating clean. I do mean clean. I've cut out a lot of the sweets after dinner that were bringing me down and I seemed to become dependent on them. Thanks for this challenge, it keeps me honest :)

That's great news Sheree!! WEIGH to go! :cool1:

I was up 1/2 lb this week, but with maintenance, it's not a problem for me. ;) Overall, I've lost 4.5 since starting maintenance so it seems to be working just fine.
