......a CM performing in one show or attraction and then see the same CM in another show/attraction? This happened this past May....we were at the Hoop de Doo and the lead in that show was also the host of the Millionaire game........well my wife and I were TV and the Mission:Space commercial came on...I yelled out "It's the hoop de doo millionaire guy"!!!! He is one of the fathers in the commercial...he has blonde hair.

LOL !!!

Little did I know that today, Friday, I'd see these words in print!

"It's the hoop de doo millionaire guy"!!!!

Thanks for making today fun

If your "Hoop dee doo millionaire guy" is the same HDD blonde we saw in November, my dd (9) will be thrilled to see him on tv. She loved him!

Back to topic, Yes. We saw one of the Indiana Jones guys--Kevin Bouchard doing the millionaire show too. We've gotten his autograph a few times over the past 5 years and DD thinks he's the best Indiana we've seen.

When we were at Disneyland we met Cinderella the first night... about 3 days later we saw Sleeping Beauty and went to get pictures and she started calling us by name before she realized that "Sleeping Beauty" had never meet us... It was very funny :)

That totally happened to us last time we were there! We got a map from a guy standing outside of Buzz. He had on the space-cadet looking outfit. Then that afternoon we were getting on the Jungle Cruise and the guy helping us in the boat said "hello, ladies. Did you find what you were looking for this morning?" It freaked us out b/c we had no clue who he was. He kept saying "Don't you remember me?" He finally had to tell us that he was the same guy who had given us the map at Buzz that morning. He wasn't even dressed the same anymore!

We leave in 12 days! :Pinkbounc

You mean there's more than one Cinderella?!!? :earseek:

Separated by several months, we saw the male singer from Tarzan Rocks perform at our local Thanksgiving Day parade. I don't think it was a Disney song, either.

I don't remember where we saw a CM but someplace a WDW doing something like a guide and later that same week saw him at Universal in the Western show.

Those folks get around!

David from 4 for a Dollar also fills in at the Tarzan rocks show. He does a great job at both.

The guy on the planning video hosts Millionnaire a lot. When we saw him at Millionnaire, I knew I recognized him, but couldn't place him. Then it hit me that night. On the way home, our daughters rode with him on the airplane (they were going to KC, not Denver with us)

I think it is probably good for CM morale and makes their jobs more interesting.

At colonial Williamsburg, we saw one guy who was involved in the trial at the court house one day, then he was out at the plantation the next. You develop a lot more knowledgable employee base if you let them do other jobs.

I think the other CMs in "non-performance" jobs move around, too. We quizzed folks at DLR, and the restaurant folks at the hotels work at all the hotels; same with the gift shops. They did tell you that you either float around the hotels, or the parks, but don't move between hotels and parks.

I was told by a CM once that they actually work for the individual parks. Going to a different park is like a transfer. Is that true CM's?

yes and no...At WDW you are "statused" to a specific location say Wilderness Lodge front desk, but if they have overtime avalaible at another hotel or they need help, it is all the same computer system so you can pick up shifts. Same with parks say I worked at Dinosaur but I transfered to Space Mountain, I could still pick up shifts at Dinosaur because I am trained there. Now you could potentially have a Jungle Skipper in the morning that is your butler at haunted Mansion at Night (Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Riverboat, Tiki's, Hall Of Presidents and Haunted Mansion are all considered one area, the CM is statused to the area and can work any of the attractions in it :) ) Disneyland is a little different in their "status" and "transfer" rules than WDW is.

Last December a very congenial CM at the Circle of Life mentioned that he would be singing at the CP that evening. We saw him at the show, his name is Bob.:D

The guy who played Two Bits in HDDR was in Hunch Back of ND he was one of the gargoyle's(sp).Got a chance to see him at end of show and tell him he was good in both roles we had seen him.He thanked us for taking notice.I hope he has landed on his feet in another role at WDW since Hunch Back show went dark.::yes:: :wave2:

The guy who hosts Millionaire was also on an Orlando Trading Spaces episode! :teeth:

And I worked Blizzard Beach, but did my overtime at the Wide World of Sports - so yes, crossover occurs. It really depends what you're trained for and how easy the jobs are. I know a lot of lifeguards who were trained for both BB and TL.

Oh, I have one. One of the Sprites in Tapestry was/is also a Snow White (well, actually, she knows SW very well :)).

Similar to the Hunchback story, last year I saw the former drum major of the MK band-he's now performing in the GF lobby orchestra. I recognized him from a picture I had taken of us together. I often see musicians playing in different shows. I've seen some of the Jammitors in other shows, some of Tomorrowland Countdown (many of them used to be in Future Corps, for you fellow Future Corps fans), the members of the AK percussion group, etc.

On my trip earlier this month, I went to MNSSHP and met Goliath the Gargoyle. When I met him, I greeted Goliath by name, and the CM with him took my photo. :)

The next day, I was at MGM and saw two characters I been looking for, Kermit and Miss Piggy. The CM with them took my photo, and afterwards asked if I had a good time at MNSSHP. I was surprised and wondered how he knew (not like I was still in costume or anything :) ). It turns out he was the very same CM who was with Goliath, and he remembered me since I was one of the only people who knew who Goliath was! It felt cool to be remembered.
