I was just pricing standard room for Beach Club free dining and it is about 30% more than the same dates this year. Don't know if it's the same for other resorts but I'm starting to wonder how free the UK free dining is and whether we should just rent an offsite villa instead. Anyone else book for next year yet?

Ive booked for next year for hotel and tickets and riverside and apart from the ticket price hike I didn't notice much of a difference probably about £100 from what I estimated, and I'm actually saving on my virgin packaged offsite stay. I think it depends where you are staying. I noticed AKL had a huge price increase from the looks of it.

Hi. We already booked for next August with Free DIning. It sort of worked out roughly what I was expecting it to. I checked int he brochure which came yesterday and for 2 weeks at the Grand Floridian it had gone up £150 from last year which was what I had thought. However, what has gone up is there are no free kids places for August next year like there was this year and you cannot upgrade your car for free when staying at a Disney Deluxe like this year and also Fuel Supplements had gone up to £205 per person so that added £605 to our holiday. I don't think it has anything to do with free dining.

Good luck with your booking

the same holiday for us next year as we are having this year is only around 100 more and thats the ticket prices that have gone up

Thanks folks. I'm wondering if it's maybe just BC then? This years price did seem lower than I thought it should be for there though. Will compare some more. I was going to stay in a villa but free dining is too tempting - trouble is, I'll probably eat way too much over two weeks.

For our trip this year its a massive increase for next year as we have OKW with the extra discount this year.
16 nights OKW with 2 adults + 1 teen DDP + 21 day tix £2,164
Next year £3,849, a £1,685 increase.

If we booked Beach club this year it would be £3,481 next year £4,265. A £784 increase.

The price we paid for OKW was at my limit(or slightly over) for onsite, next year prices are way OTT for me but we enjoy staying and eating offsite, for onsite fans the prices will be more attractive.

Hi Wayne - They haven't discounted OKW for next year yet, so I'm guessing that's why it's such a big increase. I read that the discount came out in August last year for 2009, so I'm hoping to get it then, as I really want a one or a two bed villa. Otherwise, POR sounds ideal for us.

IMHO - the DVC rack rates are way inflated anyway, I would never pay full price.

But you got a great deal on an OKW - you're paying the price of a moderate & getting free dining. It's a really nice place and you should enjoy it.
