Anyone NOT spend any money on Black Friday

Dh returned a large toy that we had bought for DS's birthday last month but decided not to give him, so he got BACK $90

Later in the day I had to send him to Lowes to buy doorknobs for the new doors the contractor is installing, but that was a purchase that had to be made and had nothing to do with Black Friday. He spent less than the $90 he got back from Wal-Mart.

I downloaded 3 free books on my Nook!

I spent $121 on Amazon. Got the Dark Knight blu ray (family), Skylanders video game(for DSon), Cranium Disney (family), and Harry Potter 8 film set (for DD2). I also bought $20 in movies at B&N--had a 30% off coupon, used it for Prep & Landing, and then got The Last Airbender on blu ray for DS.

I need to get pjs for DS and DD2 (tradition) and then a GC for her for about $75. Also need a GC for DD1 and then another for DD1/BF.

Then I'm done done done done!!!!!!!

Didn't spend a dime. We had our family Thanksgiving on Friday so I was too busy and then too tired to care about shopping. Normallly, I would have done some online shopping, but I never go into the stores during the madness. Nothing I really wanted or felt was a good deal this year anyway.

It was a no spend friday for me until we ran out of bread so I had to go buy a loaf.

Does that still count as no spend friday? :rotfl:

Well, I didn't plan on purchasing anything, but my husband, my parents and I ventured out around 11:00 a.m. I found a cute Minnie watch at Sears for $20 (I know, not really a deal, but I loved it!) and two pairs of jeans and two tops at Old Navy for under $40. We had fun too! Nothing crazy to report, since we went out after the early bird specials and door busters were released.

This was the first black friday in many years I didn't spend a dime! I decorated the outside of my house and cleaned my shed. What a huge difference from years past of getting up at o'dark thirty to wait in line. I think I'm am actually done with BF shopping. I always went with my Mom and she passed away unexpectedly this year so it just wouldn't be the same anyway without her. I have to say I really enjoyed just spending the day with those I love.

Didnt spend a dime. Dh and I have everything we basically want. The 3 ds are older and dont want much either in material stuff, just will get them some gift cards and cash.

Much easier for me for sure. I have cancer and my strength for shopping is limited etc. I dont like to get focused on the busy ness of the season, but rather the reason for the season etc.

I stay home on black Friday. The stores couldn't pay me to shop.

Well that didn't help my husband. He stayed home too but got on the internet. :rotfl: About $800 later he was done - and he hates to spend money.

I didn't go shopping on BF. I did pick up my contacts at Sams but I paid for them on Tuesday. I refused to be sucked into the madness!;)

I think it's awful that the stores opened on Thanksgiving night and I decided not to go out with my mom & sister. DH, kids, & I went to see Arthur Christmas instead. There was hardly anyone else at the theater.

I refuse to do any BF shopping. (I did my shopping weeks ago, everything on layaway)

I did buy gas & McD's after work though.... and beer too... 8 hours of madness at my office required copious amounts of beer. ;) :drinking1
