Anyone NOT make room requests?

WE never do and have always been happy. We don't have any children yet - just DH and I so it doesnt really matter whether we are close/far to pool, snack bar etc. As for balcony and view we are hardly ever in the room. One time we actually got a preferred room at Pop without paying extra!

I stopped making room requests, and so far so good. :) Of course I do book the actual type of room I want, rather hoping for luck on an upgrade,

we asked for an upgrade when we arrived, and that worked. but no early requests for us...

We never make a specific room request. IMHO there is no such thing as a "bad" room at WDW.

well. I have been 23 times now and have had great rooms! I always book standard rooms and always seem to get an upgrade! I had only asked..(now I do not have to ) that they were non-smoking!

We've stayed over 40 times and never requested a certain room. We've never had a bad view or a bad room.

I dont believe I have ever requested a room at any hotel I have ever vacationed at. Doesnt seem like an outrageous request, I guess for us, it just hasnt been something that mattered enough to do it.

My request used to be non smoking, not needed anymore, and top floor. I've made requests most of the time and I've been granted them and have even had a CM from CR walk me to my room. I'm not sure why that happened other than my fax might have touched someone's heart because it was my promise to my kids that they get to see WDW and I kept it, even if they were adults. It's important to me to keep your promises, even if it takes you years to accomplish them.

I never make any room requests when making reservations and have always been very happy with the results. I've also traveled to Disney 20+ times and always stay on-site. I've also been upgraded numerous times (I never ask), and have always had a room ready upon check-in.

I just made my room request before writing this lol...The Beach Club being the size it is and our knowledge of the place kind of lets me know what works and the Epcot side 1st floor is my pick now.Very convenient to come and go with stroller etc...and I did not request rooms twice and ended up with a standard room 3rd floor BC with full balcony and could see the ball. The other time was BI and we were very far from elevator on 4th? floor no view really..gardens I think.I did get a great poolview at YC upon request once and was not charged more...long walk to get to it though.Lots of pros and cons the resorts are sooo big..

I've lost count of the times we've stayed and as far as I can remember we've never made a room request.

No we don't make room requests.

The first time we stayed as a couple at the GF we were given an upgrade to a MK castle view. Couldn't have been happier.

Last trip we went with our toddler and were given a room next to the main building at POFQ but on the backside of the building so we didn't have all the walk-by traffic that the front had. We were put on the ground floor which was perfect with a 2 year old and stroller. Couldn't have been happier.

This trip we're trying POP (weren't supposed to go back so soon...) and we didn't request anything other than a quiet room, hoping for a backside again without a lot of foot traffic going past.

But then again, we EXPECT to be happy, we're going to WDW. We'll overlook anything that isn't perfect and focus on what is.

We did not make any requests. We stayed at CBR. We were given a preferred room in Trinidad North.

In all of our trips the only requests we ever made were non-smoking (which in no longer an issue) and on 1 trip we were traveling with family and asked if possible if we could be near each other. The net result - we have never had a room we were unhappy with :earsboy:
