Anyone NOT like Liberty Tree Tavern?

... We also are staying concierge at Poly (never been) and maybe could get some good food there for a lite dinner as well? Any opinions?
I would not count on this coming close to a lite dinner...maybe for children around 2-8 years old. Appetizers hardly account for a solid meal that will last you until morning. Eat a late lunch 3pm and combine it with the Club offerings and you might be OK.

Our families 1st dinner at WDW was at LTT and we have no desire to go back there because the food was so bland. The restaraunt decor, atmosphere and character interaction were very nice. We have been to CP on every trip, we love the food and everything else. Chef Mickeys is a favorite with my DH and DD but I think the food is much better at CP even though the napkin waving is a lot of fun.

We loved LTT! The character interaction was the best and I thought the food was very tasty. We liked it so much that we will probably go twice next trip. I did not think anything tasted processed. I was afraid that it would before we went, but the food to me was great. I asked for seconds on the turkey because it was so juicy and tender. It was very good and I would not hesitate to go if I were you. Everyone has their own opinion and one thing I learned from our trip was to just try a place. If you don't like it, then you never have to go back. While one family may love LTT, another could not like it. But, we loved it, so go and enjoy!:thumbsup2

We first tried LTT on Christmas Eve in 2005 and thought it was really good. It's a change of pace from standard theme park food, which is nice. We just went back a couple of weeks ago and were disappointed. The food was sub-par and we had to practically beg to get more meat. The ham also comes covered in mustard or some other yellow goop, and that tends to contaminate the rest of the meat as well, so if you have any picky eaters in your group, beware. The restaurant is very cramped and loud. And the bathroom upstairs does not accomodate the amount of people it needs to (it has 1 or 2 stalls); my mom and I both had to walk down to the bathroom in the tunnel between Frontierland and Adventureland. So, we won't be going back to LTT. We're going to stick to Chef Mickey's.

We have never been to LTT before and I currently have it booked for before our MNSSHP in Oct. However, DH is not all that thrilled with the whole 'Thanksgiving menu' for dinner. We've been to Crystal Palace and love it, but want to try something different. Have also been to Tony's, Ohana, Chef Mickeys, Kona Cafe. I'm starting to wonder if we should eat at a counter service, have some snacks, and enjoy the party. We also are staying concierge at Poly (never been) and maybe could get some good food there for a lite dinner as well? Any opinions?

We tried LTT for our first and LAST time this past year. But everyone has their own opinions. The food to us tasted like heated up t.v. dinners. Also, the characters we had didn't seem too friendly. They stopped, posed for a picture, and then just turned around and went on to the next table and did the same thing. Usually we enjoy ourselves anywhere at WDW, but we just didn't have a good time there. I'm sure other people can say the exact opposite thing so I think you could give it a try and see how you like it. You never know until you try!

We ate there last week and had a great time. The CMs there are really good--we were 30 mins. late to our ADR (got it confused with the ADR for the next night) and also had a bigger group than we planned. The CMs were terrific in getting us seated after a short wait (I was quite afraid we wouldn't get a table at all. . .)

The food was fine, a nice break from theme park food. Our meat platter had beef, ham, and turkey.(A previous poster mentioned a mustard on the ham, but we didn't see it on ours.) Everyone in our family seemed happy with it. We also had green beans and mashed potatoes and mac-n-cheese that was all fine. (Yeah, the mac-n-cheese was Stoufferish--but I guess I was hungry for that.) The salad was also very good. Also one member of our party has multiple food allergies, and the chef came out, talked with us, and prepared him a very good plate of food that he could eat.

Our CM waiter was extremely attentive and courteous.

We had excellent character interaction, especially with Chip and Dale, who stole hats from my sons and my cousins. We really had a good experience at LTT and I'd definitely try it again, and hope we hit it on another good day.

I have always had good food and service there (the last time being last week). The server brought us rolls when we asked for lunch - which is something you do have to ask for, and went out of her way to locate some apple butter (a friend of mine was saying how he missed apple butter). It's not something I guess she can normally get, but she found it!

I am a huge fan of LTT for lunch, but not so much for dinner. I have only eaten there once for dinner. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't good enough that I have a desire to go back. The place was a zoo for one...every kid in the place seemed to be crying or having a tantrum, so it was a less than relaxing meal. It must have been an off night for the kids there that night because normally I don't experience kid unhappiness to that extent at the WDW restaurants.

Hey,

We are trying LLT for the first time in October before MNSSHP as well. I say if you want to try it go ahead and try it! It's only one meal. If you don't like it don't go back next time. Like we used to love CP but last year had a terrible experience, we won't be going back...ever. But some people love it and that's wonderful and they should go and enjoy it!

Do what works for you and have a great trip!!!

Ive said it before and I'll say it again....LTT...brought to you by Stoufers.

Nuff said.

We didn't particularly care for it - 9 of us (8 adults, 1 child) - and worse yet, this is where my son-in-law chose to take his parents for their anniversary dinner while in MK.. It "sounded" good, but tasted pretty bad..
