Anyone NOT done WOC....

I go 3 to 4 times a year and have yet to see it because of all the trouble it sounds like. I haven't seen fantasmic in about 10 years either. Once was enough. Too much trouble. I always say "next time".

you can take this for what is worth - Dh and I were coming off TSM ( toy story ) and they had turned the lights off to begin the WOC. It was really dark, and I didn't want to start up the hill. So we sat on the benches facing the water and watch the WOC. Although it wasn't the best view, it was still pretty good and we enjoyed it. Just something to keep in mind. :cool1:

We just got home and actually ended up cancelling our ccr reservations and skipping woc. We stayed at pph so we had seen quite a bit from the room with the music and that was plenty for us. Dh is a techie so he appreciated the technical difficulty of pulling the show off but none of us were keen to stand around with two small kids in that mass of humanity to essentially watch film clips ( since thats what we couldnt see well from the room) . We did not feel our trip was any worse off for it. Dh and I snuck away one night and left kids with gma to see F!...honestly didnt love that either. Guess we arent nighttime spectacular people lol

We been a few times and have yet to see WOC. We are going in October after then majority off fall breaks on a Monday and we are going to try to see WOC.

Well I say this ALL the time for people, but honestly, I can't stress this enough, but if you don't want to spend hours waiting, packed like sardines in the viewing area or pay a small fortune to get the best tickets for it, try the Little Mermaid standby area to see the show!

Seriously, you will be able to see 90% of the show if you stand between the blue and yellow area. You only need to show up 10-15 mins before the show and you wont be crushed with the sea of humanity either! ;)

Put it this way, I think I have seen the show roughly 20 times since it first opened and I litterally saw the first show opening day! I have been in every section, dining FP a few times, saw it in the very front and the very back and I would say seeing it from the Mermaid Standby line was better than 50% of the times I seen it in the viewing area because you have to REALLY work to get a decent view there. No need with the Mermaid standby area. I would say the ONLY area that was the best nearly every time I went was the dining FP option, but even on my second visit there I got a horrible view, so its just never a guarantee.

The Mermaid section will guarantee a VERY good view even if its not the most optimal view. And hey, if its not to your liking, you didnt have to arrive at 8 a.m. just to get the ticket nor spend 90 mins waiting in line for it either, so no biggie! ;)

Just throwing it out there and this is coming from somone who NEVER does the viewing area anymore unless I'm seeing it with someone else who 'needs' to see it from there. I dont, as people said the hassle not worth it anymore and you can easily see the show at TLM!

We just saw it this past July. Our youngest is 8 and oldest child is 18 so it was ok for us. We got there early enough that we were able to get right against the railing at the very front. I loved the show. I don't know if the kids would do it again but I would. However if we had not so great spots we are mostly short people and it would have sucked. It's a shame to have such a neat show and not not everyone is able to see once they get in the area.

We saw it twice our last trip once we waited, once with the dining package. It is not nearly as difficult to manage as people will lead you to believe. I thought it was a fabulous show and would definitely must it on the "must do" list for any future trips. Meanwhile we haven't seen Fantasmic in about 5 trips.
