Anyone not been moved yet from resort w/no open date?

We still have a January 2021 stay at the Beach Club on the books and haven't been moved yet. I am tempted to cancel and rebook with the new discount but I know I won't be able to book Beach Club if I did that.

I wonder if there is any chance Beach Club will open by then or if they might give us an upgrade if they move us eventually.. or if I should just give up and rebook at Yacht.

We got the recovery deal and have that on the books for December too, since that was the latest we could move it to....but will probably cancel that. They moved that to Yacht club

Yup, I could do that! I have another one hanging out in Sept 2021 too. Just wondering if anyone else still has reservation there that hasn't been moved...I have heard of people all the way into Summer 2021 being moved but we are still there. Guess I am hoping to read it as a "sign" lol but it probably isn't

fwiw yesterday the first new resort was added to the reopening list- ASMovies, Feb 2021.

Personally I’d call now and see what they offer you price protected, if you don’t like it book what you want.

This. I think most of the ones "into Summer 2021" are at the Poly which they know will not be opening before summer (conceivably 7/19 as they are taking reservations starting then).

Received the email late August saying, among other things, “We’ll reach out within four weeks of your arrival date to discuss the Resort and room type options available to you and to assist with modifying your Disney Resort hotel.”

I’ve opted to just let it be and see what happens when they contact me.

Yeupp.. let it be. You will likely get an upgrade. But I like the idea of a back-up res in your DH's name. Not a bad idea.

Yes, we are booked at the Beach Club for August, 2021. I’m tempted to switch to the Yacht Club, but I’ve pretty much decided to wait until Disney reaches out to me. Our favorite resorts are Beach Club, Polynesian, and the Wilderness Lodge, all of which are currently closed with no opening date (except for Poly in summer 2021). I’m hoping one of these three resorts are open by next summer. Our trip is 13 nights and I really want to stay at one of our favorite resorts.

I highly doubt BC will be open in January. I think you’re safe to book something different if it works better for you.
