Anyone made their own Mickey ears?

My son wants a Mickey party for his 3rd birthday. I was thinking it would be fun to give all the kids Mickey ears when they come in, but I hate the idea of buying the cheapo/uncomfortable ones at party stores. (And obviously don't want to spend the $$ to get real ones!) Has anyone made their own that came out cute? I don't want to do card stock stapled to a headband.

I've never made them before, but maybe you could get black baseball caps and attach ears made out of that black craft foam that they sell in sheets.... Good luck!

At Micheal's they have beanie hats that look *just like* the hat from a set of mickey ears. Some are decorated but they have plain ones too. I would get those and attach craft foam ears as the pp said. If you have a set of "real ears" you could trace the shape of the ear onto the foam so the dimentions would be accurate.

P.S. This is a great idea! My DS would want to come to the party if he got ears! Post a pic of your finished product!

Have you gone to the Disney website. There are some great ideas and do it yourself decorations for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
