I'm a long time lurker, this is my first ever post.

We offered on a DVC resale at the Boardwalk a few weeks ago.
It was 100 pts Aug UY, nothing banked, all 2007 points.
Seller was asking $80pp, we offered $83 and paid 2007 MF and closing costs.
I am a non-member.

I just received an email from TSS, Disney has waived their right to purchase.

I was very tempted to offer the asking price, but didn't want to lose the deal over a few hundred dollars. We are very happy with our purchase and feel we got a fairly lean deal past ROFR.

Actually I emailed him already 3 times:

1st email : Hey love - nice contract up at TTS- should I check it out?

2nd email: Hey Love - <insert contract details> sounds good to me I think we should make an offer

3rd email - umm hey love of my life, kind man that you are... owners accepted the offer: I need to make the 10% deposit by 8/1. You okay with this?



Can't wait to see which email he decides to reply too

After close to 2 and a half weeks wait, it's official. Disney waived my OKW purchase. 150 points at $75 (Aug UY) no 2007 points, sub 7/08, passed 07/25. My broker told me I got it probably because there are no 2007 points...

I just have to say that the suspense is killing me on our contract and it's only been 2 days.. oh dear, I may not survive this.

Coincidentally, our guide that met with us at WDW in December called today and discouraged DH from trying to buy a resale because "Disney buys all resales now." Hubby played dumb.

Um, yeah, right. Good luck with that. Denial is not a river.

Sorry if I sound sarcastic, but this was the same guide that didn't send me the info I asked for... twice.

At any rate, sorry if I sent this thread off-topic.

Just found out we passed ROFR.

150 points Aug UY, 100 pts from '06, all 150 pts from '07, and all '08, $82 a point.

Submitted 7/16, Passed 7/26. So weird, I was just searching the boards to see how long other people's took because I had a weird feeling we should hear today and then we did!

We had to ask the owners to bank the '07 pts before 7/31 so that required additional paper work and slowed us down a little but I just got the call that we passed! We should get the paperwork in a couple of weeks and I can't wait to make my first home visit next May!

Dh just called me -- we passed ROFR on our 100 VWL points!

The closing service is just waiting on the estoppel paperwork from Disney, and we also have to do an addendum through our broker to have our sellers bank our '07 points (apparently that can be included in the closing paperwork at this point) since we likely won't close before the banking deadline of 8/31.

So ... YAY!!!!!!
