If you do, what would you do with such a short amount of time???

DH and I are going to Disney without kids! Yay! We will arrive at MCO on Tuesday, June 7 around 11:00am. We have the rest of Tuesday afternoon/evening (taking Magical Express to AllStar Music), all day Wednesday and Thursday, and we meet our ride around 2:00pm on Friday to head back to the airport.

SO...

Tuesday 6/7...maybe 2:00pm on
Wednesday 6/8...all day
Thursday 6/9...all day
Friday 6/10...until 2:00pm

I'd like to fit in Epcot World Showcase and Illuminations, Pleasure Island for a few hours one night, Typhoon Lagoon for a few hours, RnRC & TOT & Sci-Fi lunch are a must, and Spectro/Wishes if possible.

Being just us...do we plan breaks during the day? Will it be so hot that we'll need them? If so, what do you do during a break when it's only adults? Can you tell I've never been away from the kids, lol?

Just curious as to what others would do with only a couple of days. TIA for any advice/tips/suggestions!

*Edited to add: I have an AP and DH has three park-hopper days left over from last year.

Well, you're there three nights... Are you staying on-site?

Once June hours are out check to see when Spectro is... that's the night to be in MK. It's "possible" that Spectro won't even be going when you're there since during slower times it's only on the weekends. But I really don't know, as it gets into summer, they do it more often.
Then of course you'd do Illuminations another night. I'd try for MGM Wed a.m. through lunchtime (IF EMH stays as it is now MGM will be an EMH am on Tues, so it will be less likely to be as crowded the following day).

At MK go to Carousel of Progress or ride the TTA or the Hall of Presidents for a break if you don't want to leave the park. There are other indoor places that folks on here can jump in and share. If I was going for such a short time, I'd try to stay in the parks most of the time, but it depends on what you feel like doing.

Tues: MK eve (hopefully Spectro) OR PI tonight
Wed: MGM am w/Sci-Fi Lunch HOP to Epcot pm for Illuminations
Thurs: Typhoon Lagoon/break or hop to a park/EVE Pleasure Island or MK for Spectro if showing...
Fri: MK EMH a.m. til noon

Whatever you do... have fun!!!

I'll take a guess at it. I'm going under the assumption that you're buying tickets for this trip only, if you have left-over passes or another trip planned where you can buy longer passes with plusses that would make a big difference in your plans.

Tuesday: Plenty of time to get settled at the resort and even rest or swim there. Early dinner someplace nice, DTD and PI

Wednesday: MGM morning with sci fi. If you have park hopping you could do Illuminations or Spectro/Wishes (not sure what nights Spectro will be). Park hopping won't really be worth the money if you're just buying 2 day passes so you could do Fantasmic and stay at MGM all day.

Thursday: Epcot (PM EMH good possibility). Illuminations (again this depends on park hopping and Spectro schedule)

Friday: Water park at open til 12:30. If you pack and check out before going you'll just have to go back to the resort to meet your ride and pick up your bags.

We don't usually take breaks when our kids are with us so I can't comment on that.

Hi! DH and I are going for about the same amount of time and I just posted a request for help, too. How about doing WS on your arrival day and getting an early dinner PS at a more adult restaurant like the Bistro or LeCellier? As for breaks during the day, I would consider how sensitive to the heat and crowds you are. Under normal circumstances for just DH and I, I would plan a sit down lunch at around 1:30 to have some time out of the sun and slow down for 30 - 45 minutes. Last time we visited WDW we did a revisit to the Studios in the morning and Typhoon Lagoon after lunch at PrimeTime Cafe. The crowds were very light by the time we got there but our time was reduced due to afternoon thunderstorms. From what I've seen here the waterparks are busiest in the mornings. If you did TL in the afternoon you could head back to the ASMu for shower and change and then have a nice dinner at DTD before headding to PI. Then you have Thursday for MK and Friday for a wrap-up at MK or a nice slow resort breakfast at the Poly or WL and some shopping at DTD.

I hope you have a great trip, however it pans out! :flower:

Thanks guys! I went back and edited my post to add that I have an AP and DH has three park-hopper days left over from last year (the old passes).

We both have plusses left over, so don't need to buy those either.

Last year Spectro was showing every night during that time frame, but I know that could change. Hopefully June hours will be up today or at least within the next couple of days. I was thinking that we don't really need away from the park breaks, since we'll only be there a few days anyway. Maybe a sit-down lunch and some indoor attractions when it's too hot?

jezaduck24...you must have been posting at the same time as me! lol, thanks.
