Does anyone know where to find the "real" Mickey? Real meaning yellow shoes, red pants...I have been to WDW 6 times and never seen him to get a picture (short of seeing him from afar in the parades or Fantasmic). I have been to Chef Mickeys (which I love) and the Garden Grill (which I also love) but have never been able to find the Mouse. We were just there in August and I'm getting a little discouraged. Someone please help me!:(

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen what you are looking for. Sorry to say, but I think the only Mickey is the one in the tux or chef outfit or whatever, but no "traditional" one. But, I could be wrong and I just happend to miss them. Good luck in the search!

You can see the Sorceror Mickey and get pictures at Disney MGM Studios....we did and I love the picture!!!!

We got our picture taken with Mickey in Toontown Fair, he was wearing the red pants, black coat with coat tails.

He's dressed traditionally, yellow shoes and all, on certain E-nights, at the Castle just at the end of the event. He and Minnie (who is in polka dots)come out hand in hand from the Castle.

i have seen him in the traditional clothing at animal kingdom doing pictures.... or maybe it was at epcot that day! Sorry i don't remember clearly! :)

I believe the "real" Mickey Mouse is in the Judge's Tent at Toontown Fair.

You can always ask a castmember at the info booth area if the "traditional" Mickey outfit is available at that park and if so, where the Mouse would be.

The can usually call someone with a radio to find out. Just be persistant. Specify "short pants". However, I do believe that the "standard" Mickey outfit that is shown is the long pants and tails number. The company evolves the Mouses look every decade or so.

I personally would love to see a black & white Steamboat Willie version.

We met Mickey in front of the Castle after Cinderella's Suprise Celebration, he was in the red pants, yellow shoes and tails, we have a great picture of him and ds. Also on one e-night I got to meet him in the same outfit, he was really hamming it up that night dancing and propsing to SEVERAL different ladies-seems Minnie wasn't paying close enought attention :jester:

We saw the Mickey in tux last Tuesday afternoon around 2:00pm outside Town Hall on Main St. Never seen the one in shorts.

We have seen him several times in the yellow shoes, red pants and black jacket. One time in front of the castle and a few times in Epcot. He was on the character bus that goes around Epcot world showcase and stops for pictures. We also saw him dressed that way at the judges tent in toon town.

Just after our PS at CRT last summer while we were waiting for the rope drop at the castle entrance to Fantasy Land, we saw Mickey & Minnie heading towards us "hand in hand" and they disappeared into Fantasy Land. He was dressed in the traditional red pants, black tails & yellow bow tie...but his shoes were black. I got fabulous pictures of the two of them (they stoped & posed for a brief second so I could get a picture)...it was a really special moment for us :) .

We 'ran' into a traditional Mickey in MGM/Studios on our last trip. He was just walking down the street. It is one of my favorite pictures from that trip....a very impromtu hug from M.Mouse for my dd!!!! Ahhhhh. The magic lives on.

I belive he only wears his red shorts in Fantasmic. His standard outfit in the parks has him in long red pants, black shoes, and a tux. You'll see him in that outfit at Mk at the Judge's Tent at Toontown, after the Castle Show at the Hub, and and in front of the Railroad Station on Main Street and also on the character bus at EPCOT except for at Christmas.

You can see that in Fantasmic at the end.

Otherwise here he is in the TDL 15th anniversary show: Viva Magic:

I got a picture with the black and white Steamboat Willie Mickey at Disneyland a couple years ago--cute! Keep looking, he's out there! :earsboy:
