Anyone know when the 2012 ticket price increase will be?

Seems like it used to be in late summer, but then last year I think it was June or so? We're going to WDW in the fall, but I wanted to dodge the increase if I could. Anyone know when it will be this year?

For about 5 years it was always the first Sunday in August, but in 2011 it was June 12th.

Normally Ticket Price increases always go into effect on a Sunday. The earliest Disney will usually announce the increases is late on a Friday afternoon.

The only people who know in advance are some managers and high level people, the programmers for the ticketing computers, and the people who make signs and printed materials.

Often many of us who sell tickets find out when we come in and find that the prices on our terminals are changed, and the sheets we have in the booths to show Guests their choices are new.

For several years in had been in August, but in 2011 it was in mid-June.

If we purchase our tickets in advance (say now for a March 2012 trip) they would still be okay to use then? Would we have to pay the difference at the gate?
This is our first trip staying off site so buying the tickets separately is something new for me.

Thanks!

Your tickets would be good and you would not have to pay the difference.

Is this one of the reasons the DLR Ticketing System is so different from the WDW Ticketing System? At DLR, it appears customers never have to worry about hurrying up and buying tickets. Each year's tickets are good for only that calendar year, if not less. Each year has a new price.

I assume you mean March 2013 trip, but yes, they will work. If you need to add a day, review Cheshire Figment's thread on Tickets to see how to cheaply upgrade. Basically you upgrade after using your tickets one day.

It should be soon. My CM friend sells tickets and they have not yet replenished their stack of brochures even though they are running low. She says that's the sign it will be soon.
