Anyone know when 08 rates will be out?

Everybody wants to know! I have been talking with Disney reservations on a daily basis since June 13th. I have been told everything from mid-August to end of September. Last week, I was told a couple of weeks. Lots of posters have said Disney has told them August 5th. Nothing with Disney is set in stone though!

If you have your heart set on staying at a particular resort, you might want to consider booking a room only stay. When the 2008 rates come out, you can do one of two things.

One: Leave it at a room only and the price will be adjusted to reflect 2008 rates.

Two: Change it to a package at the 2008 rates.

If you have booked a room only and wish to change it to a package, Disney will actually cancel your room only reservation, refund you the deposit, and rebook you as a package. You will be required to put up a deposit within fourteen days of the time you book the package. Because you had already booked room only, you are still assured of receiving the resort you want.

I went ahead and booked a 10 day room only stay at the Wilderness Lodge but will be changing it when the 2008 package prices come out.

I have read on te "Codes & Rates" discussion board that they 08 rates will be out on Aug 5. That is what several people have been saying over there at least.

The DisneyLand rates are out today...so hopefully the Disney World rates aren't too far behind...

the TA said to call back on Friday. He wouldn't confirm that the rates would be out...just said try back on Friday.

I talked to DTC today to make a payment on my January room only reservation. I'm planning on using the AAA discount, so I asked him when I should be able to apply that. He implied that it may be the same day as the rates are released.

These Disney travel agents are so good at speaking cryptically, but I think they plant information very, for lack of a better word, 'smartly'.

i've heard mid august but i hope you guys are right about friday! we're going the first week in january. i went ahead and booked rooms already...better safe than sorry!
