Anyone know what the special DVC offer of $14,250 includes right now?

Anyone know what exactly the DVC offer of $14,250 at SSR includes right now? Points per year? Closing costs? Free vacation (does this include park tickets, how long, etc...).

Also I read somewhere Disney will actually take care of your transportation (flights) to/from if you are interested in checking out the DVC resorts to possibly make a purchase. Will they pay for a few nights stay as well?

Uuummm...I am sure that Disney will not pay for your flight to Orlando to check out the DVC resorts, and I am equally sure they will not put you up for free for a few nights as well. Don't know where you read that, but it isn't true, sorry.

That figure sounds like the minimum buy-in price for 150 points at $95.00 per point, the existing price per point for new DVC purchases at SSR. I don't think any free tickets have been offered since the original DVC sales were made in 1993.

It's still a wonderful program, but unfortunately they won't throw in the moon and the stars for you!!

I read on this board yesterday where disney told them they would take care of their travel (flights) to view the DVC. Wish i could find that post again...

Are you sure you aren't confusing ME? Magical Express is free transportation to and from the airport that is offered to ALL WDW guests staying on-site. In answer to your question...That amount gets you a minimum buy-in to the Disney Vacation Club timeshare system with the minimum number of points for membership. This is a lease based timeshare that expires in 48 years.

Could be. DVC does function as a full-fledged travel agency, and is able to make airline and rental car reservations. But they do not pick up the cost.

Regarding the pricing questions here, the current price at SSR is $87 per point ($95 less promotional discount of $8 per point) with no dues payable until 2006. Minimum purchase is 150 pts. You can finance through DVC. With 20% down and direct debit of monthly payments, the interest rate is 9.75%.

Note that the base price is set to increase from $95 to $98 on MONDAY. No word yet on what promotional discounts will be offered at that time. If you want to lock-in at the current price you need to do it before the close of business on Friday.

maybe the transportation was from your hotel that you are staying at to the DVC resort so that they can show you around? I have heard that they do that, but I have never heard about the airfare or anything...

This is all such great Information. I am seriously considering buying but I dont know anything about this sort of stuff. I just got married and we are huge WDW fans, we go every year.
