Anyone know/think After Hours Event will be extended into Summer?

DH and I were talking last night about possibly switching our MK day from Tuesday (to avoid the new Early Morning Event) and the only day that would work was Thursday. Since Thursday seems to be the day that the nighttime event has been happening, I was wondering if people thought it might continue?

If we had to pick one to avoid, we figured we stick with the Tuesday and avoid the Thursday night because perhaps less tickets would be sold for the morning event. Of course, all of this is just a guess.

So do you think that the After Hours event will continue into the Summer?

Yes, if it's financially successful, which I expect it will be. If people are willing to pay, why should Disney turn down that money? They might even expand it to two or more nights a week.

That's pretty much what we were saying last night but were wonder why they didn't sell the evenings into the summer like they did the mornings? I guess they were just testing the waters to see how they sold. Like everything Disney seems to put out there- people will buy it.

It will be interesting to see. I imagine the after hours events will be more appealing (and sell better) if they start before 12 or 1 in the morning. Will Disney be willing to close a little earlier to make the tickets more appealing? Will day guests complain if they do?

Just throwing out there that MK is still showing 10 pm closing for all of June instead of the usual midnight or after for June in past seasons.

One of our MK days (the last one) is Thursday so I hope not but I doubt they announce until they extend hours. But that just my opinion.

Unless it's a flop, I'm counting on it being extended.

anyone know when they typically update the June operating calendar?

I think we are just going to count on it being extended too, and go with being stuck with the morning one... at least we have our ADR's for that day. Wednesday is MK EMH and is not a recommended park day, and we typically avoid the EM park (hence not wanting to go on the days Disney is selling tickets for people to come early or stay late.)
