~5000 in Florida, ~300 in California.

I think that a lot fewer people apply. And it's a smaller resort, so they don't need as many people. But it may be harder.

Where do you get these "5000/300" numbers from?

What, are you a recruiter or something?

WDW is easy... it's based on housing (I used to know the exact numbers, I posted them a couple years ago when I was on the CP because they told them to us, this is a faded memory).

Chathem and Patterson houses approx. 1800 CPs a piece.

Vista houses approx. 2600 CPs.

Commons houses approx. 1000 - but mostly ICPs.

Add that together and you get: 7,200.

Keep in mind:
at least 1,000 are ICPs
part of Patterson was used for PIs in the past
about 1,000 CPs extend

that leaves you about 5,000 new CPs a program.

DL takes more then 300 people a program. But they do accept a lot less then WDW does (I want to say it's around 1,000-2,000 people a program).

Where do you get "300" for the Disney Program, honey?

For the record, she's not the one who stated 300 for DL earlier. But why does it matter if 300 is the number

Just asking for a Source From Fact, love.

My apoligies getting the two posters all mixed up.

300's a mighty small number, forgive me for second-guessing...

Everyone is going to have their own opinion about the numbers. I don't think there really is an "official" word, people just go by what their leaders/campus reps tell them. I thought it was only a few hundred because of the housing that they offer, since it is a component of the program. I think they only have one complex, not really sure.

I was told that DLR was around the 300 people range because of the housing. There are only 60 units in carnagie and the most they have per apartment is 5. 5 times 60 is 300 living... but not all rooms house 5.. there are some where there are only 4.

and DLR also told me over the phone when I asked (my bf is on the waiting list right now) what his chances were and they said because there was only around 280 doing the program currently that they had heard from that he had really good chances of getting in

But at DLR, we're not required to live in their housing, so using that formula kinda doesn't work for us. Sorry, I guess you didn't know that.

This is true^^

Plus the same goes for WDWCP, although I'm sure most people live in the housing, it is not required to, so the numbers may be skewed, but only by a small amount..
