I saw his first audition on BGT but have not heard anything lately. Anyone have an update or links to new performances?

the last audition show is this weekend and then next week its the semi-finals

I will post here if i hear or see him x

Thanks so much! He was so awesome. I can't wait to hear more songs from him.

Andrew made it through the cut (177 acts down to 40 !) to make it through to the live semi-finals :)

These start at 9pm uk time on monday evening, i will update if i here any more x x

Thanks for the update. I really enjoyed watching his audition and I played it over and over. I did the same thing with Paul Potts last year. Both have amazing voices and I think it is even better with them just "not looking' the part.

well here he goes, another amazing performance, he'll definately get through!

he made it through to the final :cool1:

eta, gutted that flava lost out to the cheeky monkeys though !!!!

I don't understand why Simon felt the public would prefer to see the Cheeky Monkeys in the final when the audience was clearly behind Flava. I do think the Cheeky Monkeys are infectious, but Flava are better performers. Perhaps Simon thinks Nemesis will go through in their group (and they're very similar to Flava).

As far as Andrew Johnston is concerned, I want him to do well because I feel sorry for him, but I don't think he's hugely talented. There must be hundreds of choir boys around the country who could out-perform him.

Have to say another one here gutted about Flava, I thought they were brilliant. The Cheeky Monkeys were cute, but I so enjoyed Flava.:)

I agree, I wanted Flava to go through as well. The Cheeky Monkeys are cute I guess but also irritating.

I couldn't agree more Deb. To be perfectly honest, I think the judges are using their vote wisely. As with all of these things, the final is going to be engineered for a certain person to win. Simon made no secret of it last night when he said we hadn't seen the winner of the competition yet. I do think Flava deserved to go through but I honestly believe the judges felt they were more of a threat to whomever they want to win it than the Cheeky Monkeys would be. Let's face it, I think Flava are likely to improve whereas the kids can't really get much better.

As far as Andrew Johnston goes, I do think he's talented but I don't think he will win it.

I agree with that, its all about variety and they won't have another Paul Potts style classical singer win, My betting goes to a dance troupe or a comedian

I think he means the young girl who sang opera, the 12 year old for the winner.

Not normally a fan of reality shows but like this one.
Andrew has done well, but I think one or two we haven't seen yet and Signature are the favourites.

Some of the voting has been strange though, the 'Star Wars organ guy' (regular viewers will know who I mean), for him to get through to the final 40 was a joke - he couldn't play a note! , there was a young girl in the heats who was brilliant and yet never got through, very strange and some of the contestants last night weren't much better.

They seem to be trying to 'engineer' a variety final whereby they have a different selection of acts, seems to me they don't want many of the same type of act, ie Flava and Nemesis - both were never going to get through.
Especially with Signature (who are great) already there.

Should be based purely on talent but get the feeling they want a mixture and that's why 'Cheeky Monkeys' got through.
They also always seem to have a deciding vote when putting the second act through, a coincidence?
Both outright winners this week have been on last , a coincidence?
