I am taking a medication that is done by injection and I would have to carry it in a cooler on the plane if I travel by air. Anyone know if this would be a problem?

I think if you just let the airline know ahead of time, and inform the screener, you should be okay.

MY BOYFRIEND IS DIABETIC, AND AS LONG AS THERE WAS A PRECRIPTION PRESENT, NO PROBLEM AT ALL.

Sorry, not yelling, just use all caps at work;)

Your best bet is to call the particular airline you are traveling on to see what the rules are. Yoiu may need to get some sort of official note from your doctor on his letterhead confirming that you indeed need the medication. Arrangements may need to be made with the airline before check.

My son takes a medication by injection and I have always just packed his needles. The bag is always searched, but so what. I do leave the needles in their original box with the pharmacy tags on it. I do also sometimes carry on a couple in a small cooler, and I don't remember having a problem with that either.

I always travel with a couple Epipens in my carryon and have never had a problem. I keep them in the box with the pharmacy label/script.
