Just a different kind of question here. I go start a nice hot quiet bath, the hot water sometimes does not have much presure. I go turn on the cold and not enough hot water is there to fill the tub. I can even turn the hot full blast and it is the same. HELP???? (no, no other water is running in the house at that time). :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Sorry, I don't have an answer to your problem.

I have the same thing going on at my house in one of the bathrooms (mine :( ). There is very little hot water pressure for just the bath---the faucets are okay. I've had the plummer look at it before, and he just wasn't impressed enough about the problem. He did tell me that years ago my house had one of those continuous water heating systems, and it was disconnected after the owner realized how expensive it would be to maintain.

Is your problem water pressure or just the Hot water?
If the Hot water is your problem is the heater electric, gas, other? If it is gas you can try to turn up the temperature. You may also want to run the hot water for about 5 min before you plan on a shower/bath. this will cause the heater to turn on and when you are ready for it it should be hot.

If it is electric one of your elements may be bad causing only half the heater to heat the water. Have the elements check by a plumber to verify they are not burned out.

We have the same problem in the winter with our water heater. I have also turned the temp up but I still found I had to "KickStart" the water heater before we need to get showers.

Hope this helps :earsboy:

My DH was a plumber for the better part of 15 years I posed your question to him earlier today and he said if you are dealing with the water pressure it could be a line is clogged. (I should have had him read the question so I hope I got it right!) good luck!

Maybe your hot water heater is too small? We used to have a small one in our old house and in order to take a bath I had to heat water on the stove to finish filling the tub!

This is just a guess-- but when we had a problem with our hot water in our old house-- it turned out that it was our water heater. It seemed to be working and the temp was turned up all the way.. but you couldn't take too long of a hot shower or the hot water would be gone. It turned out that the rod that is in the center of the water heater was broken and it needed to be replaced. I would defnitely call a reliable plumber..
good luck!
