Not sure if that is the right word choice, (or even if there is such a thing) but I was wondering:

I no longer get the newspaper for the paper grocery coupons. Is there any apps that will give me digital coupons that I can just load up on my iphone and then just scan them at the checkout? I know there are tons of websites that I can print coupons at home, but ink is so expensive.

Any ideas would be welcomed! Thanks!

These sites are paperless coupons. Not exactly what you describe, but you select your coupons online or onphone and it uploads them to your store loyalty card and the discount either comes off at checkout (cellfire), or gets deposited to your account, which you can then redeem (savingstar).

Another option: One of the couponing sites that I use (southernsaver) recommends the Brother HL-2240 laser printer. It goes on sale fairly regularly for $60 including shipping from stapes or officemax. If you set it on toner-save mode, the included cartridge will easily print 700+ pages. You can regularly find high yield refill cartridges for $20 that will print 2000+ pages. Between that and free paper from Staples, printing coupons is really cheap!

Not likely as a phone is difficult to scan. Yes I know it is possible, but it is often error prone. I would hate to be the person standing behind a shopper that is getting a full order and trying to scan a dozen or so coupons.

Technically, you could probably print the coupons to a PDF file, but I doubt they will scan properly at the store. It might work at some stores, but not all.
