Does anyone know of a store to Disney (or on the way from the airport) where we could pick up a six pack of some locally produced beer (if not local, than at least from the southern part of the US)?

Thanks.

P.S. We usually stop at Publix for snack and such, but their beer selection hasn't been too great.

We stopped at a party store near Goodings (just before Goodings plaza on the same side) on the way back to Downtown Disney from Universal. They had everything we needed and then some....

We fly and have our stuff delivered. They get all our beer and stuff from Walmart. So there must be one close by.

There is an ABC Liquor store just about a half mile past Crossroads to the north.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'd like to buy some interesting local beers that they don't sell in Michigan, if I can find some.

Thanks again!

You'll probably be able to find some national microbrews at the local ABC store, but the southeast US isn't really known for many (if any?) craft beers. I can't even think of a decent local off the top of my head.

I had wondered if that was an issue. If you like beer, Michigan does have that going for it. That's about it these days, but it's something!

Don't know about a store but if they have Sweetwater Beer from Atlanta it is very good. Not sure if you get it in Michigan. I think it is Sweetwater 420 that has a blueberry taste. Sweetwater IPA is also very good.

You have craft beer from Lazy Magnolia in South Mississippi, Abita from La and a new Greman brewed from La as well. I don't know if they are available in FL though.

Good call! ... I forgot all about Abita. Abita's Turbodog is an excellent brew. Abita's Purple Haze is (or was?) available at Port Orleans.

I usually carefully pack several 750ml bottles in an empty suitcase we use to bring back gifts. By the way great beer in MI Arcadia, Founders, etc.

ABC Liquors usually have a nice selection of beer...been to a few in the Jax/St Aug area. Can anyone tell me about the selection at Raglan Road? How many taps/bottles?

I don't know what bottles Raglan Road has, but the taps are a typical selection of popular UK brews. Murphy's, Harp, Bass, Guinness, Smithwick's, Boddington's, and I think I remember seeing New Castle as well.

Sadly, I was hoping see some others like Fuller's, John Courage or Samuel Smith, but they may have had them in bottles

I was specifically hoping for Courage or Samuel Smith on tap...hope at least in bottles.
