Much smaller and not nearly the choices. Unfortunately, most of the deluxes are like that. We love PORs' food court; Mara was just okay.

I said at the AK for 10 days Jambo and Kidani...I thought that the Mara left much to be desired...the pickings were slim to nothing...I couldn't believe that there was absolutely nothing to my liking...and if I am not mistaking every afternoon meal there had a side of what seemed to look like "cous cous" (sp)??? good luck eatting...

The only downside to our "home" resot AKL is the food court. It is much smaller then POR's food court and has a very limited selection.
I would say their are about 20 tables or so...
Needless to say we didnt eat their much.

We were at AKV for 10 nights back in January and we liked Mara.

There were sandwiches, burgers, flat breads, soups, but my favorite was the African Stew. I wouldn't suggest eating all of your meals there, but I'd say that for any CS in Disney.

I think that there are about 10 different entree selections, and the indoor seating has about 20-30 tables. There are also about half a dozen tables outdoors.

My biggest complaint was the lack of variety for desserts. They had Zebra Domes, Cheesecake, Brownies, and Rice Krispie Treats. I wouldn't have cared so much if I hadn't been on the QSDP and they hadn't been such sticklers about trading a bottle of water for dessert.
