MIL is going with us and she says she remembers there being one...and she would really like to eat there...does it exist? and is it any good if so :) TIA!

Nope. There is one across the way. I believe it serves Tacos and such. I think last year they used it during free dining for a buffet restaurant.

The Blue Bayou is at Disneyland Park in Anaheim and you can view the start of Pirates.

In a way it is similar as far as view tp the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot where the start of the boat ride passes in front of the San Angel Inn.

Yup...definitely in Disneyland. I have to say...it makes me sad that it isn't at WDW!:sad1: I LOVE that restaurant...it is so cool. My DH and I want to eat at San Angel Inn (the restaurant in the Mexico) because it has similar ambiance. It isn't the same but close enough!

That's so funny that someone else was asking about the restaurant. I was talking with my travel agent the other day and she was asking if there was a restaurant in PotC at WDW. I said I was almost positive there wasn't one. Now I can tell her the name of the restaurant.

I did eat there, but I guess we were on the other side-I didn't know or forgot that the restaurant was looking out at PotC.

Well, you can tell her that she was thinking of Disneyland, not WDW. :)

The one across from POTC at WDW is called El Pirata y el Perico. It's open seasonally.

No, as the others have said the restaruant is in DL! A very cool restaurant, although we were there back in 1989. We ate there for my son's birthday. DL aslo has 2 drops (or it did back then)

DL has the Blue Bayou restaurant inside the Pirates of the Caribbean and DLRP has a restaurant inside the Pirates ride as well, it is called the Blue Lagoon!

We ate at the Blue Bayou in California last September....very cool-i think that DL is so neat and has so many neat little things about it....

1) You need to remember than Pirates at WDW was an afterthought.
2) It was "sandwiched" in.
. . . the ride is shorter than Disneyland
. . . there is no place for an eatery like Disneyland.

The Blue Bayou is our favorite resturant in Disneyland. I grew up at that park, being from California.

There is also one at Disneyland Paris!! We were lucky enough to go there back in '99 while living in Germany. Our kids were 2 and 3 - there first Disney experience. We went in November and it was so cold. The walkways were covered in ice and we slipped several time. Skull Rock had ice coming out of the eyes and mouth. Very cool. I wish I had the pictures on digital so that I could post them.:headache:
