Anyone know if there are any park and fly hotels near Newark Airport (EWR)?

We have a very early flight in August, and over a two hour drive to Newark Airport. We would have to leave home around 2:00am just to get to the airport two hours before flight leaves. We would prefer to stay overnight at a hotel near the airport and leave the car there, but I can't seem to find any park and fly hotels. Most of the hotels have a shuttle to the airport, but they want $15.00 a day to park (we will be leaving the car there for 9 days).

We are trying to save some money, so DH would rather drive the morning of our flight than pay for a hotel and parking. I think this will be to much for DD's (11 and 4). BTW, does anyone know how much it is to park at the airport? This will be our first time flying out of Newark (we usually fly out of Philadelphia).

Any suggestions would be great.

There is a drop-down menu on the right side of the page to find Newark, type in your dates, and go. I think there are three to choose from for that airport.

I have had friends stay at the Country Inn & Suites and they liked it very much.

This hotel can be booked on Hotwire for cheap. In Dec 2004, it was listed as a 2.5* hotel in the Newark EWR area with the amenities:
"Airport Shuttle, Complimentary Breakfast, Pool(s), Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Laundry Facilities (self-service)"


I wanted to add that booking through Hotwire, I'm not sure, but you may have to pay for parking. Booking through the hotel directly, they offer Park n Jet for free parking up to 7 days, and $10 per day for each day after 7 days.

I think the Long Term parking at Newark costs $10/day, so you'll be shelling out at least $90 anyway.

Thank you for the reply's. I decided to go with the Country Inn & Suites. We will only pay about $40.00 more than if we drive in that morning and park at the airport.

DoleWhip, do you know if your friends had to call and reserve a time for the shuttle? I did notice that some of the other hotels stated that the shuttles were limited. Thank you for the information.
